Yeah, it is sad that this happened but given the lack of unity in regards to this virus, this whole situation in inevitable. The numbers will keep going up and there isn't going to be an end in sight and even if the vaccine comes along, it isn't going to make much of a difference , soon the numbers dead with go up to 4k to 5k and even to 10k a day if they keep failing to put a stop to the madness.
Actually, I believe that the vaccine might end up sky rocketing the numbers because if will ensure a mass spreading event occurs and given that the vaccine is only good for a particular strain, it is likely by the time a new vaccine comes, the virus will be several generations ahead, hence they are screwed no matter what
The current belief is that the vaccine is capable of several mutations because they appear to be only small changes and slow at that.
Guess the western hubris is going strong like always. Well when people rush things out without properly testing everything, well stupid people win stupid prizes.

People who hate Chinese who have no history with China do it mostly because of religion and it's usually embracing someone else's religion who do have a history against China. Usually religions tell their followers their God created everything and those that don't follow are evil because they don't show appreciation for what their God did for non-believers. And then when those people who don't follow do better than those that do, there is a special hatred for them by those that do follow. They think some crime has been committed. God is suppose to favor them not non-believers.
