Today at lunch I'm in the cafeteria and I see some white couples give me the look and then purposefully walk over to far far away tables to avoid me. Here in Dallas Texas. They didn't say anything but we all know what it was about. This will only get worse. So far the only sick people has been Asains and no white guy has been infected, this makes the stark constrasting juxaposition that much worse in terms of selective racisms etc

I would not be suprised if a massive outbreak happens in the USA, that Chinese Americans will get rounded up like what happened to the Japs during WWII

If we were nobody and if China isn't a threat to the western hegemony, then these people wouldn't be so hateful. It is pure racism and excuse to demonize us. Don't let them get to you and don't be a apologist. I have encountered more and more racism after China ascendant in the last two decades. It used to be pity and crocodile tears.

Yes I noticed the same happen to me as well.

Just when I thought scenes like this were a thing of the past in the US, I fear that a repeat is happening.

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross made a ghoulish effort to find an “America First” silver lining to the Chinese coronavirus that has already killed 170 people and infected nearly 8,000 more, and threatens to become a global pandemic.

“The fact is, it does give business yet another thing to consider when they go through their review of their supply chain,” said Ross. “It’s another risk factor that people need to take into account. So I think it will help to accelerate the return of jobs to North America.”

Seven strains of coronvirus. Both MERS and SARS are much more deadly especially MERS. 33% mortality rate for MERS and 9-11% of mortality rate for SARS.
