I take it that folks here believe that China has not been disadvantaged through the lack of mRNA vaccines?

The only time where mRNA had a notable advantage was the first 3-4 months of the vaccine rollout when the initial phase 3 data suggested two shots of MRNA in 60% of the population was enough end the pandemic and herd immunity could be achieved without needing to vax the other 40%.

There was also lots of celebrating and mocking of Chinese vaccines because countries started offering booster shots for Sinovac and Sinopharm sometime in the middle of 2021. And the only people cleared for MRNA boosters were the immuno-compromised.

Can you imagine, booster shots for vaccines? Must be a failure of a vaccine.

Looks like Beijing is already on its way back to normal

I was forced to go to work every single day as normal even at the height of the pandemic. The only good thing was that there was no soul crushing traffic.

I'm the only one at my workplace who has not caught COVID yet. It's all about discipline. Those with weak discipline were doomed. I kept strict mask, social distancing and social gathering discipline.

My uncle got cancer after second dose Pfizer. And desantis is launching a mrna probe in congress. I am 3 dose sinopharm, got omicron mild fever and recovered in 3 days. Almost all my colleagues in China recovered within 5days and NONE were hospitalised. You have been fed lies my friend.

There is a serious risk of in-building spread given the standard lack of sewer traps, thus facilitating the spread of infectious fecal aerosols. This was already found to be an efficient mediator of viral transmission in the 2020 Guangzhou case study and the notorious Amoy Gardens outbreak of SARS in Hong Kong. So many people have still gotten infected while staying completely isolated inside their own apartment.

Recently more people have become aware of this and purchased bathroom drain covers to install when not in use.

There are also a few here who have made themselves known to be pro mRNA but on the whole, it looks like more folks here are on the side of China's homegrown vaccines.

The equations somewhat changes as the pandemic went along as they found out the more optimal number of minimum doses for inactivated vaccines and as the Omicron variants continue to change.

The Radio station I listen to inb the evenings has this host, when given the opportunity, promotes the belief that mRNA vaccines are better than the vaccines made in the traditional manner. Unfortunately iI havent gotten a full understanding of vaccines to be able to debunk her dribble.
Currently our TV news is reporting China is experincing 5000 daily deaths and hitting a total of 2million plus towards the end of next year

China has 9 million dying annually, mostly during winter time for obvious reasons. Some people will die because of this, that's a given. On average 500 ppl are dying daily in US due to covid but i can assure you Omicron is peanuts compared to Delta.

Can you imagine, booster shots for vaccines? Must be a failure of a vaccine.

Having to have booster shots is not an indication of the weakness of the vaccine. A vaccine that is diluted enough could require 5 doses or more to be effective, for example.

It is scary that only a few days ago the MSM was saying 1 million deaths. But since 1 million no longer shocking, they decided to use 2 million deaths.

Serious man, stop panicking. China is nearly back to prepandemic normal. People are not afraid at all after getting infected, it's seriously like flu, at least for omicron. My friggin driver was not vaccinated, had slight coughing but hell he says it is like Flu.
