This is one area that confuses me. I get not reporting COVID cases anymore, since its kind of pointless now with no PCR testing. Above all, based on testimonials in China, most people nowadays self-quarantine immediately after testing positive on a home test kit or getting a fever and just assuming they have COVID. I don't get why they can't report deaths though, with 10% of the population unvaccinated that's still 140 million people, so one would think releasing the statistics would incentivize the remaining population to get the shots and give people a clearer picture on what's going on.
It would take someone that they know in order for those who have been stubbornly refused to vaccinate to get vaccination. It is not like these people don't know how many have died in the West or somewhere closer such as Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Fear is the fear that people that they know got infected or died. Some cold number if can't convince them before wouldn't be able to convince them now.
It's over. Covid is a flu. China don't need to publish anything related to flu, so with Covid. I also said in a previous posts that the media and government should not cover covid anymore, seemed like they take that advice immediately. The government must read SDF lol.
covid is more severed than flu, even flu death is reported. covid statistics provide information to researcher/doctors.
Chinese government and probably researchers too have access to the data. No need to publish the figures when Western MSM will make sure no one will believe them.

Just too many people. Unable to test and get a proper number like old days, when just several thousand were newly infected a day at most.
Agreed, that's what it looks like from what I can see.
Fortunately this is happening with a less lethal strain so we won't see the amount of mass deaths as seen in western countries (no matter how much they hope otherwise).
I think one lesson to come out of this episode will be that you can't mass vaccinate your way out of a pandemic.

Are you whitesplaining to us here dumb commi-sympathizers that Chinese vaccines were and are shit, fake, highly questionable in terms of its efficacy and because of the Commies insistence of using the domestic vaccines will bring about a very high number of unnecessary deaths.
For some odd reason, and maybe sheer coincidence folks like you who's been a member of this forum for quite a number of years seems to come out of your very long hibernation when there's a perceived China weakness that folks like yourself are very quick to pile on any given issues that's easily muddled when there's not a clear evidence to support both the supporting and opposing thesis vis-a-vis innactivated vaccines vs MRnA.
