More asymptomatic cases have reclassified as symptomatic cases.Shanghai asymptomatic is dropping but symptomatic is increasing... any idea why?
I never understood the boba libs, they go over to the Americas/Australia where the westerners has really genocide the natives, stole all their land/resources, and currently have the remaining groups living in barren desserts... then complain about Xinjiang...
So Aussies worrying about China existential threat because they worry that China will invade Australia and wait 200 years to show it was okay?A common excuse was that it was then and this is now. 200 years ago everyone killed everyone else but now people are expected to be civilized, like how people in Afghanistan and Iraq were treated.
Were those Chinese Christians? I bet they were.I know one Shanghainese lady who married one of my friend who is a Canadian-Chinese (who is also anti-China) who is very anti-CPC. They married last year around summer time. I discussed in amazement with them how China managed to control the spread of Covid-19 and prevent the catastrophic Chinese death if the government was negligent in their duties and responsibilities like all western based systems did. The Chinese-Canadian idiot shook his head and expressed his doubts about the number of cases not being reported so I had to destroy that nonsense. At that time I wasn't aware that his soon to be wife was also a virulent anti-CPC western loving person. While she did concede that China handled the covid-19 well, she still thinks that China isn't being served well by the party because you know, no freedom, and it's not under western style democracy. She also mentioned that she backpack throughout China, which led me to ask her if she had the chance to visit Xinjiang province. She said she did, and then I asked her what's her take on the western accusations of Uyghur internment camp, genocide accusations. She unsurprisingly said that those Uyghurs aren't Chinese and Xinjiang should be allowed to cesede. At this point of the conversation I couldn't hold my acid tongue anymore so I more or less interrogated/debated/corrected her surprisingly piss poor knowledge of Chinese history.
I flat out told her that Xinjiang has been a part and parcel of China since the time of the Tang dynasty and while the Uyghurs aren't "Han" Chinese they are still Chinese since China has 56 or so different ethnic group and even the last dynasty of China wasn't under Han Chinese but Manchurians/Jurchens. Additionally, the Xinjiang region wasn't an exclusively Islamic religion, Buddism used to be the major religion of the region up until the expansion of Islamic influence later on....
Then asked her if the modernization of the Chinese juggernaut economy was facilitated and made possible by the CPC and if she's that enamored with democracy she ought to properly compare China to that of India and see the results. By comparing China to the U.S. who's modernization, industrialization happened 100 years prior to China, not to mention it got free labour (from black slaves, Irish, Chinese) made that country's path to prosperity all but assured since it has also decided to liquidate the original natives that has lived in America for centuries prior to Columbus discovery.
At this point she shut the f... up along with her idiot of a husband.
BA.4 and BA.5 may turn out to be real headaches.
"One thing that makes BA.4 and BA.5 stand out to virologists is an amino acid mutation they share called F486V. It is located on the viruses’ spike protein near where the protein attaches to the ACE2 receptor on cells — an interaction that opens the door to infection. Important antibodies generated in response to COVID-19 vaccines and to prior infections with SARS-CoV-2 neutralize the virus by clinging to this spot.
Since last year, virologists began noticing the vulnerability of this spot in laboratory experiments. For example, virologist Benhur Lee at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City and his colleagues were helping to vet a promising monoclonal antibody treatment by exposing it to an artificial virus carrying many versions of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. Only one version of the spike protein evaded their antibodies. It had a mutation nearly identical to F486V."
Implication: Possible resistance against current immunities.
I don't think so. They're just Hanjians. Were those Chinese Christians? I bet they were.
