Increases in vaccine uptakes among older people are still very slow. Less than 1.2 million people over 60 finished their 2nd doses in the last 30 days.

Many older people will not take vaccine unless there is an active threat of infection, but when there is an outbreak, it's risky to queue for vaccination, so they wait until the outbreak's controlled. By the time the outbreak's controlled, they feel safe again so no need to get vaccinated. Rinse and repeat.

The government needs to either have a vaccine mandate or announce a firm date of ending the zero covid policy and free treatment for covid. Increase copay for people who are unvaccinated without a valid reason.

In Singapore they relaxed their mask mandate, social distancing and dine in restrictions too early.
Many people forgot there are many factors contributing to the dynamic situation, besides the types of vaccines given.

China has about 264.02 million 60 or above population. 80.4% partially vaccinated and 80.1% fully vaccinated. Ideally, you need 95% of elderly to be fully vaccinated and boosted. However, not much elderly vaccination increases for the last couple months.

The city is treating at least 6,645 patients in nine hospitals, including four temporary hospitals which provide a total of 3,200 beds. Three more makeshift hospitals are being set up to provide another 7,000 beds.

The city is also getting a helping hand from five other provinces with about 1,000 people arriving on Monday to help with medical treatment, coronavirus testing and transferring positive patients. Liaoning province also provided 30 ambulances for the city.
