Bro, why do you keep on yapping on Mrna vaccine despite the evidence to the contrary? What gives? They need mRNA boosters in Hong Kong, as the outbreak in HK is getting bigger.
Unvaccinated foreigners is a strain on hospital systems too. US Omnicron deaths exceeded Delta deaths at it's peak and hospitals got overwhelm despite 'mild' variant. Better have all foreigners vaccinated than clogging up valueable hospital spots for native Chinese/Locals.That effectively makes vaccination status irrelevant, right? It would be exactly the same as China is doing, vacinated or not, one must be tested negative to get in the country.
Even inside EU, vaccination certification is not neccesarily enough to cross borders within the block. See here,
To me, in light of Omicron, I don't really see vaccine recognition has any real value, it is only and will remain as a political matter.
Low-efficacy vaccines are counterproductive compared to what? With a so low protection effectiveness, vaccination is actually counter productive in preventing the spread, it will create lot of asymptomatic or light symptomatic people to further spread the virus.
Vaccines has only eradicated two viruses in human history, so nobody really expects vaccines to "stop the spread". Vaccines are more about "saving lives" than "stopping spread".Effectively, these vaccines are becoming a precautionary medicine treatment rather than serving to stop the infection spreading.
How do you explain the situation in Hong Kong? What vaccines do they need now?Bro, why do you keep on yapping on Mrna vaccine despite the evidence to the contrary? What gives?
I mean, how do you explain the situation in the U.S. with a daily case of 100,000 cases and a daily death of over 3,000 pee day? How about South Korea with a daily case of 90,000 per day?How do you explain the situation in Hong Kong? What vaccines do they need now?
In the US, many places are not mandating the wearing of masks. People go to watch sports, movies and restaurants, and they sit so closely together. That is why there are so many cases.I mean, how do you explain the situation in the U.S. with a daily case of 100,000 cases and a daily death of over 3,000 pee day? How about South Korea with a daily case of 90,000 per day?
If you read the reporting in Hong Kong, the ongoing rise in cases were a combination of doing away with the measures that kept the city relatively safe. Plus, there's been a report that came out essentially stating that regardless of vaccine use the effectiveness against Omicron is pretty low (30% effective).
