Performance characteristics of the CJ-1000A are on par with the LEAP-1C with the initial CJ-1000A certification supposedly by 2025.
Where did you hear this?
The last Zhuhai Air Show had a scale model of the CJ-1000A with details concerning the latest design and a quick mention of the blades now being composites. A few months later near the beginning of this year, a whole slew of information came out about the CJ-1000A ground tests. This has been public now since the spring in Chinese forums but in Google land, you'll find nothing about it. Here is an article about the status of the 3 main turbofans for ARJ-21, C919, CR929.

Fyi, this is a Chinese article. To summarize in English, the articles most important points.
  • former blades have been replaced with resin based composite blades which will increase performance and fuel consumption
  • thrust range 12913-13608kgF has improved to the level of the LEAP-1C
  • CJ-1000 prototype to receive air worthiness certificate in 2023
ps. I listed 2025 as the estimate for CJ-1000A certification since 2023 sounds like BS and most others don't believe it as well. lol

one year is very short time for evaluation and collecting data.

CJ-1000A will get certificate in 2025 for small scale production.

CJ-2000 will be finalized in 15th five year plan(2025-2030)

CJ-500 design has completed, derived from CJ-1000's core machine. won't take much time. prototype can be ready within 2 years.

The Zhuhai Airshow 2021 publicly displayed most of the important details in that article. The kiosk listed some info with the rest about the CJ-500, CJ-1000A and CJ-2000 in the promotion video. In this case, the author is repeating what many other people have already reported on because the Zhuhai Air Show is public. I'm not going to try giving credit to non-experts but this seems to be a clear case of simply reporting public info.

AECC last reported the CJ-1000A was going to be certified sometime in 2023. They released a promotional video reiterating that the CJ-1000A is "Coming Soon". I still say 2023 sounds like Bullsh@t.

0:45 >> better than ICAO CAEP/6 environmental standard, 50% emissions standard
0:47 >> takeoff thrust 12913-13608kgF
0:48 >> ICAO Chapter 14 noise, 10.8 EPNdB
0:54 >> resin-based composite blades

The latest features of the CJ-1000A looks like it jumped several generations in 1 shot in only a few years. How is that even possible?
