32,000... Is that really even a good idea though? Past a certain scale and you've already exceeded the capacity of most port and passage infrastructure.
Maybe this is exclusive for the up and coming Chinese built ports which can be designed to handle the ships and the new Arctic shipping route which is not only shorter but not constrained by geography as well but rather the size of the ice breaker instead.

This will make Chinese built ports even more attractive and maybe even fund a Chinese infrastructure project to widen the Suez, though this is something much more into the future.

As the article notes, these mega containerships will be for the Asia-Europe trade.

Rotterdam says it is already capable of handing 30,000 TEU containerships below

So it'll be a Rotterdam-Shenzhen-Ningbo route, at least in the beginning
