. The as-of-yet unnamed cruise ship will have a bigger displacement than Adora Magic City, by about 6,400 tons. Length has been increased by 17.4 meters, and it will have 2,144 guest rooms, 19 more than Adora Magic City.

The sister ship of Adora Magic City has been named Adora Flower City (爱达·花城号). The name Flower City takes inspiration from the ship's future homeport of Guangzhou, which is known as the city of blossoms. The ship is currently in the fitting out stage and will be delivered at the end of 2026. Compared to her sister ship, the number of rooms has been increased to 2,130, capable of accommodating 5,232 guests.

COSCO Shipping and CSSC has signed a huge deal for 6 large container ships.

I'm not sure why they are making such a big deal here of RMB settlement between two Chinese companies, but maybe COSCO was paying USD to CSSC before this.

They say it's a green vessel, which will be designed to allow for using green fuel in the future.

Maybe it's not the correct thread and maybe it was also posted already ... but what's this?

Should be the flatdeck test platform ship first seen in a tender announcement from September 2022?

The length and width of the flight deck, alongside the twin island superstructure design do match with the information listed inside the tender document. Now we just need a ground-level view of the stern to see the well deck door.

Not sure whether this has been posted here, but here goes.

First saw this on Deino's Twitter posting yesterday:

Interestingly, this (note the red underline) from one of the replies:

To me, the document looks like a ship construction project tender for a drone carrier testbed ship for the PLAN. Dimension-wise similar to 071 LPD, although around 10k tons lighter.

Tender is open from 9am, September 9th to 4pm, September 19th (Beijing time).

The ship is to be delivered within 18 months after the contract of construction tender has been signed.

Here are several illustrations by 大包CG (Weibo) on what the purported drone carrier testbed ship could possibly look like when being positioned alongside a 071 LPD.

I can confidently say that China is dead serious in procuring UCAV carriers for future use in the PLAN.

Maybe this is one of the steps towards finalizing the 076 LHA design?

Any thoughts?

And this photo is from earlier this month. The flight deck is in the process of getting coated.

That USV parked to the starboard bow of the flatdeck should be a large trimaran USV slated for construction at Guangzhou since May 2022:
