Their prospects aren't complicated. Americans have very little choices to harm the Chinese shipbuilding. China is the world's biggest shipbuilder, shipowner, has the world's some of the biggest maritime transportation companies, and has the most active ports. There is a lot of cards they can play, especially against American attempts to revitalize their shipbuilding.
The only vulnerability I can think of is the engine IP. A lot of the engine production in China uses European IP because the said corporations' investments into China over the years. But you know, using the state power is a two way street. Production and engineering facilities are mostly in China.

CSSC taking over global market in Engine sector too. their WinGD series is world's largest duel fuel marine engine. currently powering large LNG/container ships.

Jiaolong has received upgraded batteries. A new pressure-resistant lithium-ion battery pack has replaced the old silver-zinc batteries.

In addition to receiving upgraded batteries, Jiaolong is also getting a more efficient electric propulsion system, an new hydraulic system, as well as other subsystem upgrades such as new video transmitters and an automated fault diagnostic system. She will undergo sea trials next month.
