They should be careful not to do too much. Since Trump is in power, he might ban them altogether from selling to China if they persist with such loophole. We know how unpredictable trump can be. So I think Ndivia should lay low for now.

You don't understand, Nvidia has to do this. Jensen already said not doing this is a $50 billion dollar loss. Essentially what he's saying is he will keep trying loopholes or let the company die. There's no other options left. So it's an announcement to the world, Nvidia only lasts as long as the US government allows it to, the balls in the US government's court. Obviously from our side, we should hope Trump clamps down even more.

For those who are saying Chinese companies keep buying Nvidia so China can't catch up easily if they are stopped, that's the point. It doesn't matter if it's some what worse right now to use Chinese equipment. It can't get better unless there's more pressure on it to do so. So ironically, a full cut off which is painful, would be beneficial.

The H100 nevermind the H20 has become so cheap in China that AI training costs are a fraction of that in the US.

And that was with Biden's ban on sale to third countries.

And before any real ramp up of Chinese AI chips beyond Ascend.

Now Trump is getting rid of the 3rd party ban and the CloudMatrix is getting delivered.

What do you think is going to happen?
