Hisense Qianzhao Jiangxi Semiconductor Base 1 billion yuan project goes into production​


According to the news released by Nanchang, the Hisense Qianzhao Semiconductor Project was put into production on August 30. The Hisense Qianzhao Jiangxi Semiconductor Base Project is located in the Xinjian Economic Development Zone of Nanchang City, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan. The contract was signed in August 2023. As of June 25, 2024, in less than a year, the relocation of all equipment and the purchase of new equipment have been completed, and full production has been achieved.

According to Hisense, Hisense Qianzhao's Jiangxi semiconductor base is an important part of Hisense's layout. It will mainly produce RGB display red light chips, MiniLED and high-end LED products. The implementation of the project will enable Hisense Qianzhao to expand product capacity and increase efficiency, and will also promote the comprehensive industrial upgrading of its gallium arsenide series and gallium nitride series products.

It is reported that the main products of Jiangxi Qianzhao Semiconductor Company are GaAs system LED chips, solar cells, VCSEL, etc., and the application scenarios cover display, vehicle, plant lighting, space solar energy, optical communication and other fields. It is reported that after production, the semiconductor company's GaAs series products will achieve an annual output of more than 8 million pieces. In 2024, the annual output value of the entire Nanchang base is expected to exceed 1 billion yuan.

Shanghai Hanhong successfully produced 8-inch silicon carbide crystal​


Recently, Shanghai Hanhong Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Hanhong) successfully pulled high-quality 8-inch silicon carbide crystals in its crystal pulling laboratory using a silicon carbide crystal growth furnace developed and manufactured independently. This crystal has excellent uniformity and low defect density, with a diameter reaching the 200 mm standard. Both the resistivity and crystal orientation meet the requirements of high-end applications, demonstrating Hanhong's outstanding equipment R&D and manufacturing capabilities as well as process control level.

As a high-tech enterprise focusing on semiconductor material crystal production and processing equipment, Shanghai Hanhong has been deeply engaged in the research and innovation of semiconductor material related equipment for many years. The silicon carbide crystal growth furnace used this time adopts the top feeding method and is fully automated. Cross-scale surface shape error correction in the bonnet polishing of a freeform surface​

Abstract​


High-precision freeform surfaces are widely used in ultra-precision optical systems to improve imaging performance and reduce optical system weight. With the development of short wavelength optics represented by extreme ultraviolet lithography, the high-precision requirements for the full frequency errors and geometrical complexity of optical freeform surfaces pose great challenges to optical processing and are difficult to achieve by traditional manufacturing processes. This paper proposes a cross-scale surface shape error correction method to correct surface shape errors in different cycles in bonnet polishing. First, the material removal mechanism based on physical and chemical effects was discussed to obtain the method of cross-scale removal functions. Secondly, the analysis method of the frequency response characteristics of the tool based on power spectral density was discussed to analyze, evaluate, and guide the bonnet polishing process of freeform surfaces. Finally, the proposed method was verified by the experiments in processing a fused silica freeform surface of 120 mm diameter; the final root-mean-square (RMS) of surface shape accuracy was better than /100λ/100.

Investment in semiconductor equipment is an important indicator of future market demand and a barometer of industry prospects. Hisilicon is going to have its own product unveiling event on the 9th. Speculation is that it might become its own business unit like the auto BU division. Longer term, it seems like Hisilicon needs a small degree of separation from Huawei to be a larger supplier for other companies.
