Hisense Qianzhao Jiangxi Semiconductor Base 1 billion yuan project goes into production
According to the news released by Nanchang, the Hisense Qianzhao Semiconductor Project was put into production on August 30. The Hisense Qianzhao Jiangxi Semiconductor Base Project is located in the Xinjian Economic Development Zone of Nanchang City, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan. The contract was signed in August 2023. As of June 25, 2024, in less than a year, the relocation of all equipment and the purchase of new equipment have been completed, and full production has been achieved.
According to Hisense, Hisense Qianzhao's Jiangxi semiconductor base is an important part of Hisense's layout. It will mainly produce RGB display red light chips, MiniLED and high-end LED products. The implementation of the project will enable Hisense Qianzhao to expand product capacity and increase efficiency, and will also promote the comprehensive industrial upgrading of its gallium arsenide series and gallium nitride series products.
It is reported that the main products of Jiangxi Qianzhao Semiconductor Company are GaAs system LED chips, solar cells, VCSEL, etc., and the application scenarios cover display, vehicle, plant lighting, space solar energy, optical communication and other fields. It is reported that after production, the semiconductor company's GaAs series products will achieve an annual output of more than 8 million pieces. In 2024, the annual output value of the entire Nanchang base is expected to exceed 1 billion yuan.
