According to Shanghai Lingang, integrated circuits are the leading industry with the largest investment scale, the highest industrial concentration, and the fastest output value growth in the Lingang New Area. The industry scale is expected to exceed 40 billion yuan in 2024 from less than 1 billion yuan in 2019, and the total industry scale target in the next three years is to strive to achieve 80 billion yuan. , 174 integrated circuit projects have been signed, with a
total contractual investment of more than 270 billion yuan , covering various fields such as chip design, manufacturing, materials, equipment, packaging and testing, and core components.
At present, there are more than 300 integrated circuit companies of various types in the area. With the emergence of the cluster effect, more than 50 new integrated circuit projects are added each year.
Lingang Group released the Lingang New Area Integrated Circuit Industry Development Report. Currently, the new area has gathered 56 high-tech enterprises, 43 specialized and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises, 15 specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprises, and 24 corporate technology centers in the integrated circuit field.
The Shanghai Branch of Bank of China issued the "Shanghai Branch of Bank of China Supporting the High-quality Development of the Whole Industrial Chain of Integrated Circuits in Shanghai" plan, which will invest 100 billion yuan of special credit resources in the next five years to support the development of the industry.
At the meeting, the "Oriental Chip Port Outstanding Person Award" was specially awarded to recognize the leaders who have devoted their lives to China's semiconductor industry and have great influence. They are: Zhang Rujing, founder of SMIC, executive director of Shanghai Jetta Semiconductor Co., Ltd., and dean of Jetta College, and Yin Zhiyao, founder, chairman and general manager of AMEC.
