Jiangling 12-inch SuperHiK™ high-end measurement machine shipped to leading wafer fab

Recently, after providing all-in-one thin film and optical critical dimension (Film + OCD) measurement solutions for high-end memory chip production lines, Jiangling Technology has made great efforts and once again created SuperHiK™ measurement solutions for 12-inch advanced logic chip production lines. The complete solution deeply empowers customers to accurately monitor key film measurement links, ensures sustainable mass production of high-K material ultra-thin film processes, and fills the gap in the localized supply chain in this high-barrier link.

This time, Jiangling's high-end measurement machine TFT70 is embedded with the SuperHiK™ innovative solution for the first time, successfully shipping the industry's leading 12-inch integrated circuit manufacturing line, further witnessing the technical advantages and high-quality development of Jiangling's product ecosystem. Jiangling Technology adheres to the layout in the field of optical measurement, fully covering the diversified needs of precise optical measurement in front-end process (FEOL) and back-end process (BEOL).

WHAT .....................

entire supply chain of Pura70 is domestic include all core components and parts.. only semiconductor equipment are imported ones. you might don't know how Huawei's return lift up entire domestic supply chain of China .. such a crucial and historic comeback..

just one example is here .. how's Huawei return saved this company. Rev is the supplier of Camera modules.

He meant if Huawei was not sanctioned, being the leader in mobile phone is not that helpful for the Chinese industry compare to now.

there is a huge difference between buying iPhone vs Huawei phone in terms of value added and supply chain. iphone is at best 5% domestic. Huawei phone is marching toward 100%

Pura 70 so far has only identified using IMX989 on ultra version. Still waiting on that techinsights tear down to verify things

Adding net 4 suppliers to iphone supply chain is really not all that meaningful

SMIC is adding 28/40/55nm nodes. This has been stressed on recent earnings call. Some stuff like BCD, the best it can do is 55nm right now.

I think HW may beat Huahong to 14nm

I don't understand I thought Huawei was sanctioned by the US gov't so what gives?

Five years ago Huawei was not sanctioned. If it became dominant then, it would be dominant with a dependence on foreign suppliers. Since that did not happen, the comeback without foreign suppliers, is precisely because it was sanctioned. Which is a win for the broader Chinese domestic industry instead of just Huawei the company.

In other words, it is a good thing Huawei was not dominant and instead got sanctioned.

I do not fully agree with this.

1. Five years ago, Huawei was a dominant company. Every year since then, Huawei maintained or widen its lead over its rivals in it core business, telecom equipment and related products. The only real exception was the cell phones. Huawei went from strength to strength these last five years. Huawei was and still is a dominant company these past five years, every year.

2. Even the tear downs five years ago, of Huawei products like a phone or a basestation, IIRC should the majority of the parts were domestic. The mainly foreign parts were the semiconductor chips. Therefore, five years ago, Huawei already had a very extensive domestic Chinese supply chain for all its needs, except for the chips.

3. We keep coming back to the chips, and that is where this story is going now. Huawei is going in for the kill sort to speak. That is the real point of this tech war with Huawei right in the middle of it. Huawei first push all those suppliers (not involved in chip making), now today, Huawei is pushing all those suppliers related to the chip industry inside China.

4. I feel that is a big distinction. Before the tech war, Huawei was using more and more domestic inputs, in effect the supply chain was already built up. After the tech war started, the supply chain in semi-conductors was accelerated.

5. In many ways, this US government war against Huawei 5G, is a total screw-up. Before the sanctions, Huawei used to buy $11 billion USD worth of stuff per year from the American companies. Now that figure is zero almost. Yet, Huawei is strong as ever.
