I don't think they are building that SSMB thingy now for EUV lithography.

My suspicion is that they probably already building it somewhere. This is top secret stuff, so I cannot prove it. Then again, maybe they wanted to test out the theoretical stuff some more?

At the frontier, we don't know what happens, right? That is why the frontier is the frontier.

To do the replicate the ASML machine for EUV, and also build a SSMB super-factory-complex, seems like overkill. They probably do not need both.

Which would be better for frontier research? In all related and semi-related fields? It would be the latter right?

Build it baby! Build it and they will come!

The only part of it I understand would be the world's longest conveyor belt!

Bro I miss those days....lol, I'm thinking what comes next after what we are speculating come true. I think I may set my retirement in 2025 when China launch its EUVi SSMB as there are nothing more to do. The bottlenecks had been conquered and we (Huawei Fanboy) are becoming extinct.

The Huawei livestream is pretty good, they just brought out Andy Lau as the Mate 60 RS spokesperson.

The technology is still interesting. We do not have to retire yet. The political stuff would be duller in a way, because there could be less to fight over.

Personally speaking, I hope they don't stop with the bans!

It is the timeline of the articles. Original old news/rumour, summary of past news, and the news from SCMP. All the articles are the same, it that, they are indicating the same thing.

What is striking the SCMP article.

My view is that the SCMP is a disinformation outlet. Since they are reporting it now, something weird is happening. Either this facility is not being built, or it is already under construction. LOL.

SCMP has a real good record of just not knowing what is going on. Although they could be right occasionally. We have to bet against it.

Regarding high unemployment rates of Chinese college students, I hope that they should be re-educated by semiconductor industries, improving manpower shortages in the industries.

Bro we can speculate about even more absurd stuff now we speculate about getting up to par with the west.

In that new chapter we can speculate about what for crazy things the chinese people will do/design when they are unrestrained in semi conductor fabrication...
