You should check the Hefei airport right next to these fabs. Pretty big and modern looking.

I checked the chip packaging facility. And guess what, that company seems to be able to test DDR5 and LPDDR5 chips since like 2021.

The construction of the second fab of CXMT at Hefei seems to have happened over the course of 2022. It seems to be different from the original expansion design.

I think I found where their Beijing fab is.

It is a significant facility but much smaller than their operations at Hefei. My guess is it does specialized chips for some clients.

Tuojing Technology: PE-ALD equipment has achieved mass production, and Thermal-ALD equipment is being verified on the client side​


According to micronet news, Tuojing Technology recently stated in an institutional survey that the ALD equipment series developed by the company include PE-ALD equipment and Thermal-ALD equipment. The PE-ALD equipment has achieved mass production and can deposit SiO2, SiN, etc. For dielectric film materials, Thermal-ALD equipment has been shipped to different clients for verification, and can deposit Al2O3 and other metal compound films; SACVD and HDPCVD equipment have been industrialized. Tuojing Technology will continue to maintain the core competitive advantages of its products and continue to expand the scale of mass production applications.
In terms of the progress of hybrid bonding equipment, Tuojing Technology stated that its wafer-to-wafer bonding product (Dione 300) has passed customer acceptance and received repeat orders, and its chip-to-wafer bonding surface pretreatment product (Pollux) has Shipped to client for verification. The size of the bonding equipment market is currently difficult to quantify, and the potential market demand and future growth space are large.
In terms of orders, Tuojing Technology revealed that the company has been actively following up on the pace of customer expansion and continues to sign product orders with customers. Currently, it has a full order base, and the specific order signing situation depends on customer demand.
Regarding inquiries such as "Is there a gap between thin film equipment products and overseas manufacturers?", Tuojing Technology responded that the core technology and key performance indicators of the company's mature products have reached the international advanced level of similar equipment.

Weiteng Semiconductor's 240 million yuan special materials project has started, with an annual output of 300,000 wafer-level dicing knives​


According to news from Rugao High-tech Zone, the Weiteng Semiconductor Special Materials Project plans to invest a total of 240 million yuan, with a new factory building and ancillary buildings of 34,000 square meters. It is expected to reach full production in 2026, with an annual output of 300,000 wafer-level dicing knives and sales of approximately 250 million yuan.
Nantong Weiteng Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2020. It is a technology enterprise focused on providing supporting products and services for precision cutting processes such as various IC wafers, optical devices, and various sensors. The DZY dicing knife developed and produced by the company can achieve ultra-thin thickness within 15 microns, and its product performance has reached the level of similar foreign products.

Have been following UNISOC since forever. Really really want this company to succeed. It is extremely vital for whole of Chinese Economy for companies like UNISOC to succeed because Chinese Phone companies are giving away Billions of Dollars to both MediaTek and Qualcomm which don't bring any value to Chinese Economy (Qualcomm designs the chip in usa and manufactures in TSMC in Taiwan, MediaTek both design and manufacture in Taiwan, no value to Chinese Economy)

It's better not to concentrate all of your scientific base in one city, especially when that city is vulnerable from attack.

Shanghai can be attacked during war time and semiconductor production is utmost importance and moving to Xian make sense as it has alot of strategic depth and more secured.

Meta-X unveiled its product at 2023 world computing conference and won award for its 曦云®C500 product, which uses MXMACA software & use its own MetaXLink to link together 8 GPUs in 1 machine. They expect to put this into mass production at end of this year

It's G series GPU for rendering will tape out in 2024 for metaverse, cloud desktop, cloud gaming, cloud mobil edevice, XR and such

Looks like they will be a major competitor to Moore Threads

Moore threads has linked hand with Real Link to support UE5 in its GPU for various gaming I think

they do have a head start and are slowly adding support to all the games. Now, S80 supports DX11 and support over 80 games after 9 firmware upgrades

Unless they start building fabs then it’s just a different place where they are rumored to open their main office at.
