did you forget about the YMTC SSD on iphone that freaked out the DC crowd?

In this case, I'm surprised Huawei is not using YMTC SSDs
i believe Huawei was in hurry to leaked M60 for US commerce secretary. it could be risky for SK Hynix coz of US sanctions.

maybe proper production will use domestic flash memory. its not about technology. if Apple can choose YMTC then why not Huawei.

So who actually manufactured the chips for Huaweio_O? Some said it's Huawei themselves transforming into an IDM (although cooperating tightly but indirectly with SMIC and other partners), but most thought it should just be SMIC's mature N+1 or N+2 process building ~7nm chips (are they not allowed to do any business with Huawei since theoretically they are easily monitored and involves loads of US related tech?)

Please feel free to go through this thread and read the discussion on this and more.

There has been a lot of discussion on this topic.

I posted a picture of the suppliers and 3 companies were listed in that section.

Apple plan to use YMTC chip but never materialize it

Huawei never use YMTC chip on any of it's phone

There were photos of iphone teardown that had YMTC, lol. you can search this thread. It was posted here last year.
Whether Huawei use YMTC SSD is their choice, but YMTC has definitely been used in phones

Crowds for the new Huawei phone in Shenzhen. Anyone know how much they're rolling out for the moment? Anyhow if they can keep this up, there perhaps won't be any greater corporate comeback story in history that I'm aware of. Not many companies can claim to have been targeted by a superpower to this extent, right up to having their employees kidnapped, and still bounce back.

This sounds sounds more like cope than something rooted in reality.

Their two pronged approach will have short to medium term Huawei-like effect as China's advanced fab capabilities stagnate.

In the end though , China's vast STEM base and market opportunities will ensure that China will have a completely indigenous semiconductor industry capable of going toe to toe with whatever the US has.

LMAO last year you guys were all panicking when CHIPS Act got passed.
