I think this is pretty important too. A lot of these chemical material have been sourced from abroad (I think Japan) and vulnerable to sanctions, so good to see them putting this into production. They just need to now ramp up production of this, cleaning fluids and photoresists

Well, this is honestly impressing. I never saw something like this. It is really jaw-dropping for me.

1) In Europe the average TV series watcher has zero idea on how semiconductors are made, even less about a specific machine like the lithographic one. No matter if the world's top litho manufacturer is European. The general public has totally no idea of this technology, they even don't know it exists. Any western media company would never make such a series in Europe, it would have sub 1% audience.

2) In China self-reliance from US has become a national level top priority, and is felt as such not only among the specialists and the industry, but even among general public. This is beyond impressive!

RSLASER the miniseries?
I don't many people know what immersion lithography let alone what the light source is but cool concept anyway. Also I don't think people who work in this area look that stylish.

obvious. these are actors just playing the role. but we still can get a lot valuable information of China's indigenous lithography build up. how they start and what difficulties they faced.

Looks like we have a mature process price war going on in China. UMC and PSMC are having difficulty attracting orders due to sluggish demand & price wr.

btw, I'm not sure what segment is considered as mature process here. Waiting to hear from SMIC earnings next month to see if anything changes.
