Chinese purchase of Su-35

It was originated to be signed in 2012, then it become 2013. Now it says 2014. The "Wolf is coming!" Theory cannot uses so many time. You still want to take the bait?

J-16 has just completed the final design appraisal and is ready for mass production. This will make the chances of PLAAF buying Su-35 even lower.

The Russian media appearently see signs of impending su-35 sale to china in much the same way a woman feeling her biological clock ticking might see signs that she is finally pregnant in every tea leaf and morning discomfort.

Perhaps, Mig-29 is right. Judging from the on and off saga, China could be driving a hard bargain and if offered a cut throat price, it would be ridiculous not to accept. If the package includes the latest Russian engine, avionics and weapon systems
on an old airframe for something like half price, it's a steal.

Wait for the the final agreement to be signed. We will know next year whether this becomes reality...

I am leaning towards "yes, there will be a deal", but you'll never know if things collapse the last minute.

Mig-29, Welcome back from a long Vacation.

It was very quiet without you.

If you were right, the following table would be different:

Let me repeat the fact: Up to Oct. 25 of 2013, China has not purchased a single Su-35.

Su-35 has a soccer ball size RCS

New nanomaterials have improved the latest Sukhois, so far Su-35 will be a very good fighter

says The head of Rosoboronexport Anatoly Isaikin during the MAKS 2013 airshow told to the Chinese aerobatic team that the pilots will be shortly able to fly Su-35 fighter jets.

Rosoboronexport and the Chinese party continue negotiating over the purchase of 24 Su-35 fighter jets by Beijing. The contract is expected to be signed in 2014, deputy head of Rosoboronexport Viktor Komardin told RIA Novosti.

Welcome Back, I kinda doubt the Chinese aerobatic team are flying Su-35s anytime soon, as I believe that Shenyang has the Flankers well in hand, but I don't doubt that lots of folks in the know, would love to get the F-117s in a Sino Flanker??? I wouldn't have been surprised a few years ago if this happened, but now?????? I am surprised this thread is still open, and I pretty much am convinced this is a dead duck! brat

Could Tphuang or other sinodefenceforum chart keeper corroborate this chart? Looks like the guy spent a lot of time on this.

that is just your opinion,
The contract is expected to be signed in 2014, deputy head of Rosoboronexport Viktor Komardin told RIA Novosti.

what veracity do you have? are you part of the PLAAF? or are you a collegue of Rosoboronexport`s Viktor Komardin.

So far yours is only an opinion

Our opinion has been molded by the fact that the so called reliable sources had been crying wolf since 2009, and nothing substantial has come of it. China's reason for importing Su-35 wanes with each passing year as engine/avionics/material tech becomes mature.

I'm leaning towards being told next year by the Russians that the final agreement will be signed the year after next. :)

Funny... someone would believe in some sources in Russia that there is an impeding sales... while totally ignoring the Russian State Newspaper that stated otherwise.
