Chinese purchase of Su-35

Seriously, what has this forum fallen to?

First of all, the Russian officials have already denied it.

Second of all, the news have been circulating since last year. And if this purchase was indeed signed during Xi Jinping's visit to Russia, then why did it appear last year?

Third of all, the Chinese government (no, not the news, the government) has already denied the whole deal. In 2012 they already stated that not only was the Su-35 deal untrue, but also that the plane DID NOT FIT CHINA'S SITUATION. There's very little chance that they backpedaled on a statement like that in just over a year.

Note that I did not even mention the countless times that Russian news have proven to be false. Nor did I mention that this is probably the only deal that was not followed up by official confirmation or any signing.

What you got here is ZERO EVIDENCE that the deal was actually true, and you have statements from TWO GOVERNMENTS that the deal is false. Who are you going to believe?

Look like that many IMPORTANT members here still can't accept that China's going to buy Su-35. Me too, wishing the deal is false. China, no more Flankers import!

However, the deal seems rather true. At the beginning, rumors only came out from Russian mouths, we denied it. Now, Xi visited Russia, left his defense minister behind before he goes on to visit Africa. Most, if not all, Chinese media report the deal including CCTV-4. How come you still can't accept that the deal is true? Or, your heart won't die until you reach the Yellow River? Look like you won't accept that until that ugly duck flies in Chinese sky!!!

The difference is, the Chinese media isn't doing the reporting here. They are simply quoting a Russian source that was the basis of this entire claim in the first place. It's amazing how people would dismiss Chinese media as a state-controlled bullhorn whenever it's working against their agenda and then suddenly accept it as a reliable source (as in this case) whenever it fits their desires.

So far, every 'new' report of the deal is just another rehash of the original non-story, often even with the same phantom source of a nonexistent People's Daily article.

It just seems like the same kind if self-sustaining BS cycle that seems to go hand in hand with the claimed Chinese Su35 deal. The only thing noteworthy about this latest incarnation is it was kicked off with a Chinese report, and the only reason so many normally cautious minds seem to be buying this is because they seem to have swallowed the BS propaganda put out constantly by the western media that every Chinese TV station or newspaper is a 'mouthpiece' of the Chinese government, so must have a direct line to President Xi or sth. Chinese newspapers and tv stations get stuff wrong as often as anyone else, especially when you are relying on foreign sources. They are regulated more tightly than western press on many subjects, but they are not the 24/7 propaganda broadcasts the western media would have you believe.

The only fool proof source of official Chinese government policy and position is the same for China as any other country - official government spokespeople. Until such a time as an official Chinese government spokesperson acknowledges it, or if it is reported on one of the main hourly news broadcasts, I will treat any report of a signed deal with the same kind of skeptism as all the others.

If the likes of David Axe or other Internet trolls want to jump all over this as another excuse to report their prejudice, well, more fool them when it all comes to nothing.

Russia officially DENY such deal being signed.

Latest news did NOT even mention Su-35 and Lada SSK sales to China.

lol

Bull crap all over again.

This time many western news are saying this is true, on Yahoo news, and other crap.

Let's wait what they are gonna say until this deal is once again proven false officially AGAIN !

CCTV4 reports Su-35 and Lada purchase. There will be technology transfers in this deal, which I think is the reason China went for it. It will be similar the 956-EM deal, which on the surface don't seem to be worth the money. But the technology transfer paved the way for the 052B and 054A that followed it.

This thing finally becomes a face-saving event.I mean, buying or not,it's not that important to the PLA.What I concered more is the

capability of the PLAAF and PLANAF.24 Su-35BM is tiny comparing to the hundreds of J-10s and J-11s the PLA has.I really don't

care what the Russian or American bashers said about us.The only true thing is the PLA today getting stronger and stronger with a

much faster pace against its counterparts. Bashers are the loosers, ignore them.

It is official, from global times:

It is interesting how you conveniently cut out the first paragraph from

. Let me quote it for everyone's convenience:
China has agreed to buy two dozen fighter jets and four submarines from Russia, China Central Television reported Monday, marking the country's first large-scale purchase of military equipment from Moscow in a decade.

That basically says the article is reporting on another report, not an official announcement from China regarding the purchase.

Anybody watch Law & Order? Well, here it is.

Evidence that support the purchase:
- Russian business magazine claimed that China is buying it

Evidence against the purchase:
- China's government herself has denied it:

- Russia's government refuted it:

- No sign of any official documents
- No military deal was signed during President's visit
- The dates of the purchase conflict

Guess who's getting the death sentence.
