Can you show me some photos? Google did not give me results of PLA mk2 in camo. Here are two from ausairpower
Su-30MK2-PLANAF-4S.jpg

and
Su-30MK2-PLANAF-1S.jpg

Sorry, should have elaborated further. The MK2s sported a paint style never before used by the PLA, so I would not rule that picture out on camo alone.

But the first J10As for CFTC, and even pre-serial J10B/C did sport a subtle two-tone came pattern. Although I'm not sure if they have since been repainted.

If they have not, it might be some kind of pattern? Experimental/aggressor squadrons get camo pattern, while operational frontline fighters like uniform colours?

From a squadron in the Guangzhou MR back in 2012, said to be OPFOR.

thanks.

To admit, OPFOR was not in my mind when I said PLA fighters. I was only thinking of the operational troops that actually go out patrol and fight. But OPFOR is part of PLA, so I accept the answer.

Back to Su-35 if that photo is genuine it does match the speculation that those Su-35 were meant to be OPFOR (for J-20).

I would agree to the thought the camo in PLA is for OPFOR, test, evaluation etc. purpose, not yet adopted in frontline service.

Colonel
this very likely is no fake at all as the first one is not fake

why?

look at the antennas on the vertical tail and the trucks

Chinese Su-35

Russian one

on their air bases usually the Russians have old style Soviet trucks

So in my opinion the pictures are authentic because the trucks and the antennas

I concur with your observation about the truck. That truck certainly looks more 'Chinese' than 'Russian' although that is far from conclusive.

If you look at this picture you notice the IRST is on the right side of the aircraft, thus it is very visible, so you are looking at a photo taken from the right side, the LEX is also darker showing different illumination and light source

the supposedly original of the photoshop picture is a left side picture where the IRST is not visible well since it is in the other side of the fuselage and the aircraft is climbing thus the LEX is lighted by the source of illumination

they are not the same photo, they are not the same because the IRST shows in the Chinese Su-35 photo the right side and it has a darker underside LEX, a different camouflage pattern, no weapons pylons, the other photo is not in Russia, the trucks and antennas shows that with the different trucks and different antennas.

This was an attempt to save the idea Su-35 are not in China, but they are; Yuri Suslar the CEO of UAC said on national TV in Russia the Chinese Su-35 were due to be delivered, you will get confirmation later of more pictures, but the photo is not photoshoped
