I am still waiting for an officail announcement by Chinese officials in China, and still waiting to see a SU-35 in PLAAF colors with PLAAF registration numbers on it.

Seeing the photo of the one landing is nice...but until I see several SU-35s in PLAAF colors with PLAAF registration numbers, and here an official announcment from the PRC in China...I'm sorry, I am still not 100% convinced.

Surely that is not too much to ask?

The photo of an Su-35 landing is confirmed to be from the 2014 Zhuhai Airshow. So no definitive pictorial evidence as of yet.

Maybe China doesn't want to be a reference customer and put this into the contract?

I don't think J-20 needs TVC, ever. Even J-31 has a better chance. Aren't all rockets have TVC? Surely it's more complicated on an aircraft, but I don't think it's a blocking technology. We've seen a picture where Jiang zemin was playing with it. The engine itself is more difficult to crack. Having too many engine programs going in parallel is not a good sign for WS-15.

I agree completely, this is the most convoluted "deal" ever concocted, and if theres no confirmation by March, our buddy will give us all a sincere apology??? so he says

So...we do not have a picture of an SU-35 landing at a PLAAF base on PRC soil then?

this very likely is no fake at all as the first one is not fake

why?

look at the antennas on the vertical tail and the trucks

Chinese Su-35

So in my opinion the pictures are authentic because the trucks and the antennas

I can only agree with him ! That bird is a Chinese Su-35 for sure and it was taken in China ... for me that discussion has ended.

The only question that remains ... at least for now:

- what serial number does it have ? ... is it really the off-standard number 23x3x ?? And why ?
- are they really based / assigned at the 6. AR. 2. Division ?
- for what purpose ?
- will more purchased ?

So in the end all I need is a finally clear and full-sizes image.
