what a long list of nonsensical rants.
1) US's highest point is not in the 1950s, it's today right now. In terms of income, quality of life, crime rate, average life span, military power etc today's US is far far far better than the US in the 1950s.
2) What European decay are you referring to exactly? Again similar to the US, today's Europe is far more prosperous with much higher quality of life than whatever mythical golden age period you had in mind.
3) Russian might be returning Christianity, but right now it's a poorly ran petrostate and the quality of life for its citizens are almost entirely dependent on the price of oil. Oil price goes up? Life is good for the Russian citizens. Oil price goes down? Life becomes much harder.
4) The Su-35 deal is highly atypical. Despite the very reasonable price tag, it's odd for a country with China's military budget, military need to only purchase 24.

@b787: People mistakenly think of 1950s as America's Golden Era because it's relative position compared to the rest of the world was unmatched. However, America's position was not due to Christianity (unless you actually believe it was b/c of God's own will that US be topdog) but rather largely due to the fact that WWII had largely left Continental United States untouched while the rest of world, especially Europe and Asia was in ruins. W. Europe and E. Asia lost significant amounts of capital, manpower and infrastructure which need to be rebuilt and many of them needed to rely upon US for loans and geopolitical support. It was a combination of needing to rebuild and the fear of Communism drove many nations into USA's umbrella and gave it unparalleled power influence.

Also as hlcc also pointed out in absolute terms, America is in a better position now than it has ever been an in point in its history, including the 1950s.

From the Me-262 which was designed relatively quickly in terms of aerodynamics but had terrible engines same is F-14 which flew with interim engines, to todays PAKFA which flies with an interim engine.

NO, you are here to promote your silly religious beliefs AND some spin evidence to prove that Russia is "still ahead" of China in regards to jet engine production. That is the Russian pride and nightmare coming true as to see China's jet engine and space programs are moving along and progressing better than Russia. That's why you are desperate for this piece of news to be true, because other wise you can't pray your way out of a deep sanctions hole into greatness.

Even if the rumor is half-true, the PLAAF should still consider to sponsor the J-31 program from now on.

As for the Su-35 deal, I'm all for it as long as corruption is not involved (such as kickbacks or bribes).

Yes, I'm sure that non-whites, women, the LGBT, sundry non-Christians felt the same about the 1950s America (and Catholics like myself, for that matter).

supercat, I think you don't need to bring corruption into Su-35 purchase. If China doesn't want Su-35, officials can't simply push the purchase for earning the tea money. I'm one of those who oppose the purchase of Su-35 and I'm not convinced that first batch of 4 Su-35 already arrived in China due to the lack of hard proof. From now on, I will keep silent regarding Su-35 untill someone can show the hard proof. Photos of Su-35 in PLAAF color, China officially admit the deal...

because China is smarter ... I believe one day Eastern Siberia will return back to China ... perhaps the people there want to be part of China ..... or when Russia in chaos. Ethnically Eastern Siberian is totally different than Russia, more like Chinese/Mongoloid

I don't think Russia has any religious, or culture superiority for that matter, over China. People should not over-emphasize the role of religions. Central and South Americas are probably more religious than North America and West Europe even today, yet they are not necessarily better off both in terms of living standard and scientific development.
