Even though he did a good job, I don't think it's worrying in the least to replace him. China's strength is in it's stable institutions, not the individual politicians. His successor will have to fill some big shoes, but the system will guide them.

What's the issue with Qin Gang? Is it stroke from Covid-19 or more like stroke from the stroking he received from an alleged mistress? If the latter was true, Qin Gang utterly failed in his duty and it seemed easily corrupted. He was supposed to be headed for bigger things and now his wings has been clipped. I wonder if Qin Gang's supposed alleged sin caused him to lose his position then why is he allowed to retain his state councilor role and power?
