There's a Tencent produced danmeish drama that was in publishing hell for 3 years, but was finally released today. Reviews for it suck, but people say it nonetheless might be a sign that among many things the government has been toning down this year, rescinding the BL ban on entertainment might be one of them.

A worrisome future: when Netflix TV series is released, those pro-western groups will set off a wave of praise.
And there are almost no successful cases of American adaptation of East Asian literature or film and television works. They can shoot all those famous Japanese manga into stupid shit movies.
I found a short reel on the Netflix adaptation, and if the casting is anything to go by, it looks bad.
