wake me up when there are Chinese mecha shows...

The story is set in a future time when human beings are paying the price for years of environmental destruction. One day, a meteorite hits the Earth, bringing with it the extremely lethal alien plant known as Pandora, which starts to devour all it encounters and endanger life on Earth. The two main characters Tai Lai and Zheng Chongsheng must lead a mech team to defend Earth from Pandora. Yet a mysterious conspiracy may hinder their efforts.

Based on the plot synopsis, could be good, could be bad.
CGI is done by the same studio that did Wandering Earth, so should be t least a good looking film.

The newest Honkai Impact 3rd animated short is CRAZY GOOD, guys. This is what the Chinese animation industry is capable of when they put full effort and funding into something.

Agreed, but stigma still persists in other areas sadly. Go to the Honkai channel and sort videos by views, you will notice that the original Chinese voiced animations which were released far earlier, has way less views compared to the later Japanese-dubbed versions. I expect this one to not be any different.

Even the pop culture references of this game and other Chinese games all contain Japanese words.

It is clear where the soft power lies.

That is not true for most of them, especially the most recent ones:
Thus Spake Apocalypse: Chinese 6.5 million vs Japanese 368K

New Arc Trailer: Chinese 946K vs Japanese 265K

Everlasting Flames: Chinese 9.2 million vs Japanese 2.6 million

Shattered Samsara: Chinese 2.8 million vs Japanese 2.3 million

In any event, I'm not going to sit here and deny there's a lot of people out there who prefer Japanese dub because they are used to watching anime and prefer to hear that voice acting. It is what it is.

Yes, a lot of Chinese games are heavily inspired by Japanese anime and its aesthetic. So what? Anime was itself heavily inspired by Disney until it evolved and grew into its own thing.
It is clear where the soft power lies.

Not denying that Japan is a soft power titan whereas China is not at that point yet. All in due time my friend.
