Supposedly WS-15 and CJ-2000 will both enter mass production next year. Can’t wait for the massive outpouring of cope when that happens lmfao.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe you may have taken Ayi's Weibo quote-post on the Professor Sun's presentation post a bit too seriously?

I've seen him using that "Type finalization this year, mass-fielding next year" (今年定型,明年列装) quote as a joke before.

Besides, I don't think we have a target aircraft for CJ-2000 that would warrant mass production of the CJ-2000 so soon...

its CJ-1000A..

in fact if you watch Professor Sun interview, he talked about CJ series. which include CJ-1000A too. so Ayi talking about CJ-1000A Engine here. being enter in production.

what about WS-15 ?? people got confused with Ayi's Weibo quote-post in context with WS-15 engine too means next year .. i believe WS-15 production increasing gradually. this year production likely to increase further ..

Since we've already seen WS-15 flying around since no later than late-2021, and with more than one J-20A/S with both engines being WS-15s flying since mid-2023 - Unless there are strong information/updates which suggest otherwise, I think Yankee's prediction is more accurate/reliable. WS-15 (alongside the J-20A/S) should be entering serial production within this year.

Also refer my post about Ayi's joking quote-post above.

The F110 is in fact superior to the AL31.

I think we can roughly compare and rank the engines as below (subjected to potential inaccuracies, oversimplifications and biases):

For high-thrust engines: AL-31 (early) < WS-10 (early) <= F100 <= AL-31 (late) < F110 = WS-10 (late) < F119 <= WS-15.

For medium-thrust engines: RD-93 <= WS-13 < WS-21 <= F404 < F414 <= WS-19.

As for the F135 - Perhaps the F135 could be ranked better or equal (<=) to the WS-15? But, there are people who's suggesting that the US is basically "running on the same spot for 20+ years" (figuratively) vis-a-vis F135 when compared to the F119. I'm not sure how accurate or even reliable is that claim, however.

The major advance of the F-135 seems to be that it's actually mass producable on an impressive scale. It's also suppose to have better low speed regimen and slightly higher thrust than F-119.

I think it's probably negligably better than or the same as WS-15. WS-10C is somewhere between F110 and F119.

Is this hydrogen-oxygen rotating detonation rocket engine expected to power the 7th gen planes? This guy Donald Canton seems to be knowledgeable on alot of China's topics.
