As I said before, don't take anything posted on wforum seriously. Most of the ones that are posted on this forum are junk. Please refer to Maya's comments regarding JF-17's engines.

May I ask to add a new rule ???

Such postings should only be allowed if a proper source or link is giver ... otherwise we could post every BS here, which would end in something like WAFF.

it will very diffuclt to distinquished rumor (or junk) from fact.
some of the rumor may turn out to be correct. while some turn out to be just imagination (or fantasy)

True... but sometime, you should also look at the content of the article... like I have pointed out before, an article saying something but didn't place any references, testamony, technical specification, etc, etc, are generally just typical bullshits. Even those that actually put some specification, you should also check to see if these spec are just make believe.

In short, most articles in the internets are b.s. And it the abovemention is just some ways to filter them out. And normally I would say that common sense might prevail... in this case, if the Chinese's engine are actually taken from the US engine, be it copies, clone or reverse engineered, do you think that the US counterpart would not hit the roof?

Its already April, 2010, a quarter of the yr has been passed.
If WS10A officially entered mass production phase an the end of 2009.
then 4 months should be enough time to crack out siginificant of engines.

If yearly production is 100 (on the conservative sides) then 25 of them should be made by now in 2010 meaning 12 new J-11B should be came out...

Can some one confirm on this progress rate?

Seems as if the long rumoured second J-11B regiment will go to the PLA-NAF ... as J-11BH.

Since there are regular PLAAF grey-coloured Flankers in the background I'm not sure if this is an operational base or if these are aircraft at SAC on pre delivery.

looks like the quality control & engine performance issues were solved.

basically, that says the air force is happy with ws10a & approved the batch production 2 days ago.
richard fisher predicts the 5th gen fighter may come in ~2015.

finally he says that doesnt mean china will discontinue import of foreign engines. he says if given chances arise any nation would do the same thing to learn other new tech.

Are we going in a circle or keep spinning around? I thought the mass production of that is approved at the end of 2009, now you are saying approved batch production 2 days ago? So, it's not in mass production yet you saying.

man, I just don't what to believe nowadays! Everything about this is so flakey.

I think there's a difference between general approval of production, and the production of a batch. One says that the engine is ready for production, and the other says that a batch is being ordered and procured, and there can be a time lag between those two, which is normal.
