枭龙”战机换装国产WS12发动机的工作已经开始，而原本被认为是仿俄RD93的WS12，据说其实竟是仿美F404!

FC-1的其它出口型和国内型用FWS12发动机,
也就是二十多年来一直搞的所谓新中推,原型是仿F404,目前通过加大到和RD33一样的个头轻松达到95KN的推力.那通过某些谣言,新的FC-1使用新材料后推比达到1.05,已经足够能对抗西方三代的中型机,但国内型的是不是也是用这个方案还是使用原来发动机就不知道了.
这个新发的型号,已经有其它国家看过了.估计市场不小.巴基斯坦的人是参加了全程的改进,(当然是学习)但巴基斯坦是怎么选就不知道了.
如果用中国四代航电,那估计还要等,要是用法国航电,那银子就不一般了.
装新发动机的FC-1只滑了四百米多一点就够飞起来了.听说全部人员三月就立马发了相当一个月工资的奖金......

China may have obtain the engine from the down F-117 from the serb, but the engine,non afterburning version of F-404 may consider badly damage.
or WS-12 combine what they have learn from damage F-404 and RD-33/93.

Can you update us on what source did you retrieve that piece of information? How come every time China came up with something good... the information you provide simply shoot it down by saying it is clone or copy or whatever?
Plus how does the author actually know if the engine is a clone or copy? Because it look alike? Because he is an engineer or the designer of the engine? Or he had some insider info?

I already mentioned the stupidity of terms like 'clone'. Please do not use them again without thinking in future. The very idea of 'cloning' an engine without so much as the shadow of a hint of a rumour of a suspicion of the actual engine is completely ridiculous.

We know what you say before. What I am questioning is why whenever China came up with something decent, someone would simply blast it down saying that it is a copy or a clone or reserve engineered products or whatever that are actually works of other nations?

Gosh you are turning the whole business into some sort of urban legend! But seriously, this kind of wild speculation won't do at all, this forum deserves at least some reasonable auguments backed up by solid source of info.
At this stage no outsider can be sure about the relationships among WS12/13,
RD33 etc. What we know is CGTE did make an effort to develop the engine core for medium-thrust turbofan (the same thrust class of F404/RD33) back in 90s, as well as the domestic replacement for RD93 was under development in another entity of AVIC (Guizhou Aircraft perhaps). We don't know how much the two projects are related, nor the story about their codings. There is really no point to take random guesses at the moment since the engine is for start offered to the export market, the details of which will be revealed soon enough.
The whole article provide practically no information just what the author thought was... there are no technical references, no witness, no testimony from anyone, just a lot of "It is rumoured to say..."
So normally when I read this type of article, I would simply dismiss it as bullshiting.
