my mistake. yes, report just said J-11, but also J-11 and J-10 maybe used domestic engine attended the parade, saurce said TH engine start to mass prodution.

I know WS-10a looks completely different from AL-31 but it might be the FWS-10 as its nozzle shrud looks very similiar to AL-31 except being slightly shorter.

Maybe the J-10 also being install with FWS-10, who knows?

Ws-10a is Taihang

FWS-10 is the orginal domestic engine IMHO...

I believe China aviation watcher have been misled into thinking domestic engine has not install on J-10 and J-11 since FWS-10 looks very similiar to Al-31.

All the while the so call Al-31F engine we seen on J-10 from pictures maybe in fact FWS-10.

Doesn't seem to correlate with the AL-31 import from Russia news we got recently. Maybe they are testing again, like extended testing, before they commit to it.

They are importing AL-31FN for J-10s and producing FWS-10 for J-11Bs. It's that simple. Why do people still argue on this?

what's the progress on WS-13, the replacement of RD-93 for FC-1. There are alot of third world countries waiting for that plane.

Since WS10 has configured out, I can't imagine the lesser WS-13 would still have issue.

WS-13 should be ramping as well otherwise it won't make sense at all..

Can anyone tell me what is the difference betwen ws-10 and ws-10a? i am confused because many people seem to make no difference betwen them.

Check out the previous post.

FWS-10 looks very similiar to AL-31 in terms of nozzle shrud except being shorter abit. It is displayed in PLAAF aviation museum so it cannot be wrong or rumour.

WS-10a looks completely different from AL-31 and FWS-10 with it distinctive short silver nozzle. Engine blade is also different.
