Discusses whether China can overtake USA economically and militarily:

TL/dw: No.
Videos like this are a dime a dozen. My issue with these videos is not whether the content is pro or anti china but whether their content is actually informative. This video keeps saying "look at the data" but uses it more as a catch phrase and it really glosses over the reasons behind the data. Instead it just regurgitates points written all over western media. Almost copied word for word from other western sources. One sided arguments, never cared to look at why a decision was made, or have any ideas on how to deal with those said issues it so overall pretty useless. When they do suggest solutions, it's usually "democracy" or "increase freedom". The Russians followed their market advice after the USSR collapsed, how did it work out for them?

It's also hypocritical, as if videos like this say china is screwed and there's no solution, then why is the US saying china is the biggest geopolitical challenge. If a country is so screwed up, then why are they so afraid?

In the end I really hope more in the US believe videos like this because then they will be less focused and aggressive on china. But I suspect these videos are more for the common western citizen to make them feel better about themselves and increase their morale.

That's why it's a waste of time for me.

Yeah I remember getting alot of these type of Western video on my recommendation list but after I started viewing china focused videos years ago. After watching afew of them, I find them very biased and not at all explaining the full situation. I stopped YT algorithm from recommending this channel anymore after one of their China videos. It's more of a coping mechanism for western anti China audience than anything. Better use of my time to better understand China by watching guancha videos
