Perhaps this is the Y-9 we've all been waiting for indeed... Man XAC have sure taken their sweet time about this.

Question -- does anyone know whether those six bladed propellers (called JL-4 from huitong's site?) are the same as on the KJ-200, and whether their indigenous or foreign?

(btw: this looks like the photo is actually the Y-9 -- Huitong's just updated his site:

KJ-200 is Y-8 680, this is Y-9, much more upgrade then Y-8.

This is Shaanfei, not Xifei.

Shaanfei is located in Hanzhong of Shaanxi Province.

thanks A Man,I made mistake, I knew it's Shaanfei, but I typed XAC, they are so close.

But what are exactly these upgradings in comparison to the Y-8F-600 (!?)

Deino

at least, new Y-9 take off weight about 20ton, becaurse it use two turbo fans engine, but Y-8 680 TOW less than 20ton,how much TOW exactly,I don't know, can you tell me? I know you have much more knowedge than me in aviation.
some body said Y-9 TOW is 30ton ( source from ZhuHai air show ), Y-8 TOW is 20ton.

Thant's surely not a turbofan under the Y-9's wing !

But I agree with You, the situation is quite unsure, strange especially with the new turbofan-powered medium-size transport also under development.

I think I made mistake, Y-8 hauling 20ton cargo,not take off weight.
about Y-9,hauling more heavy cargo than Y-8, how much I don't know,maybe 30ton.

Some nice pics of the C919 cockpit and interior.
Now that the cockpit is all padded up and smooth it sure does look like it's ready to compete internationally, and the economy class doesn't look to shabby either.
