China's transport, tanker & heavy lift aircraft

If photos of the Y-20 came up merely days after reports of taxi runs, then we can safely conclude that the security at XAC isn't exceedingly tough. If the JH7B flew such a long time ago and no photos have been posted of it, then I'm starting to wonder if reports are accurate or not, and whether such a project is a major thing at all.

It's most likely because JH7B looks almost exactly the same as JH7A so no one took notice when it first flew. Yanliang's security is indeed tight, but the best security is the self censoring of military forums, J20 is testing at the same airfield as Y20 yet no one has seen any photos of it.

It could be that the officials themselves decided to leak these first photos of the Y-20 as opposed to the JH-7B which they decided not to for whatever reason.

...But it does remind me of a Bowhead Whale.

The front fuselage with the bird-beak like cone does make it look like a giant bird.

Feels like December 2010 again! The large transport is second only in importance to the 5th generation fighter in the eyes of the Chinese military fans.

What are the odds that this exact image will reappear within a week or two with the actual content of the plane not covered by a CG image? I'd say they're pretty good.

As for the plane itself, if all the images are true to the real thing, it looks like enlarged, four engined kawasaki C-2 to me, more so than c17 or any other plane.

well, maybe you should give this JH-7B stuff a rest until we actually see real photo of it then.

It's actually more important than J-31 for sure and probably more important than J-20 imo.
