If photos of the Y-20 came up merely days after reports of taxi runs, then we can safely conclude that the security at XAC isn't exceedingly tough. If the JH7B flew such a long time ago and no photos have been posted of it, then I'm starting to wonder if reports are accurate or not, and whether such a project is a major thing at all.

Huitong says JH-7B's first flight was done at yanliang, a particular location we never get photos out of. That could explain the lack of pictures.
I fear I will be the only one to stick up for this thing... but I quite like it. Very tough, bulbous and strong looking. Reminds me of C-17 more than Il-76, and its sharp nose is a nice looking contrast to all the button noses of the likes of C-17 and A400m.
I just hope to god PLAAF give this bird a decent paint job. If they go the way of the Il-76 fleet... -shiver-

I think transports are naturally ugly and not in a bad way. Well at least it looks as much different from its peers not to mistake it as so. A couple of depictions in the past pretty much got it close. What looks distinct is that humpback it seems to have.
