A very interesting shape. After building many aircraft with built-in head wind the British came up with the De Haviland Albatross at the end of the 'thirties and Lockheed came with the Constellation a little later - aircraft with nice streamlined fuselages. But next we went with tubular fuselages beginning with the Douglass DC-4 because building such fuselages was cheaper. This aircraft recalls the Albatross and the Constellation in its fuselage shape and suggest that China is developing a new way of building fuselages, possibly using more fiber reinforced plastic.

Well, if we are talking about aircraft, I would say stealth bomber is the next on the wish list.

Anyway, Y-20 supposedly have two versions. The first version has a cargo ramp and unpressurized. The second version has no cargo ramp and is fully pressurized to serve as a platform for AWACs and ABLs. I wonder what version this prototype is.

If these are official leaks, there has to some sort of level of confidence.

Huitong has it named "Roc." In the Chinese forums some are calling it some variation of pig even evoking Angry Birds. Sounds like some may not like how it looks. And then there's Panda. Until more clear images come out, by the looks of that rear, they should call it the "J-Lo."
