1. I don't want to wait any longer !!
2. I hope for a much sooner release date of images since You surely can hide a more-or-less-the-same Flanker-like J-16 but a Il-76/C-17 sized aircraft ????
3. In reagrd to the preferance of special dates I currently hold my fingeres crosses for the 12/12/12 !!!

XAC is known for its extremely tight security; for example there has been barely any insider information on the supposed JH-7B and China's next generation bomber program is also kept under very tight scrutiny. Heck, we barely know enough about the H6K besides the fact that it features a new solid randome and engine.

i dont know Deino, when Y-9 was under development it was widely advertised, this months Combat Magazine even had a picture of the 1st one which was delivered but i do not not remember ever reading anything about Y-20 in any Western air force magazine and i usually pick them all up every month and rarely do i miss a article
when J-31 seen paraded on the back of a truck through city blocks it was picked up straight away by mags but never heard anything not even a rumour in a magazine about Y-20
so as SinoSoldier said it looks like its a tight security on this one, maybe like J-20, it will hit like a news flash when it happens
Y-20 is no small thing, this will be massive aviation news, it means China can make a large military cargo, that opens a new field of aviation inside China, maybe its even flown who knows, but i think we will have to wait for Y-20 but i hope i am wrong i for one am so excited about Y-20!!!!

The poster was reporting that he sees a news report online which claims Y-20 has made the flight. But the picture in that news report is a CG. This is by no means a credible report. We need to wait more patiently.

OMG what does a large transport mean for China? So many things, this means power projection over vast distances just like a aircraft carrier
A aerial fueling tanker, AWACS, military cargo, a air borne division etc etc this aircraft will open the door in the avitaion sector in Chinese military
I can't wait to see this aircraft and what it will look like, I wonder if it will have a refuelling probe
