China's SCS Strategy Thread

Ramming is an obvious act of aggression, ramming and killing even moreso. The Philippines are not ramming anyone, they are being rammed, which is why they are upset. The difference is that Taiwanese see themselves at fault, Filipinos don't.

Now if Filipinos are dumb enough to kill Chinese fishermen, that is a different story of course. But so far they have not done anything aggressive. Which should make it quite clear that the ones making the decisions are not insane nationalists looking to commit suicide. They are trying to do the opposite, to paint themselves as victims.
if their morale is already low and see themselves as victims, further bullying will reduce their morale even further.

they can't make themselves look already more like a victim. China is already considered to be a 100% bully. can't get more bully than 100%. Since the cost has already been paid, might as well take as much as possible.

Not at all, there are zero Filipino deaths. Zero smashed boats. Zero warning shots, let alone real shots. You think they wouldn't try to make victim propaganda out of any of those? China has plenty of room left to escalate, but only if it needs to. Using minimum force to achieve results is smart and restrained and denies as much narrative space for the Philippines as possible.

Which is the more outrageous headline, "China kills Filipino marines, brutally conquers shoal" or "Filipino outpost crumbles in storm, China occupies shoal." Just let the weather do the dirty work. There is no need to rush.

Just cause the western media hides these stories, doesn't mean they don't exist.

You are talking about events which happened many years ago. They are not hidden, they are just too old to care about. Nobody will ever believe the excuse that CCG is responding to that aggression today. Netizens were upset that CCG waited days to respond to Taiwan ramming deaths, not years.

If you want people to remember something for that long it needs to be a lot bigger than a couple fishermen.

The current situation in Jinmen is exactly from "a couple fishermen", what an asinine statement to make

Your attitude and comments on the lives of those fishermen injured and killed by the same pathetic PH you keep on trying to defend is telling.

The PH is lucky China isn't a democratic country because I FOR ONE, WOULD HAVE DEMANDED that such a little peepsquek of a country need to be taught a lesson. I would have organized, demanded for any leader and party to stand up for CHINA'S RIGHTS and finally stand up for itself. I'll gladly call out those who oppose my thinking as sell out, worse, traitors to the motherland. BUT, I thank the ancestors and the almighty that China isn't a western democratic system and doesn’t allow passionate people like myself to influence and cause undue damage to the country's overall aims and vision for the country which is to become a fully developed country in 20 years.

As for the NON-EXISTENT PH strategy, IT'S CALLED MARCOS CORRUPTION. The Marcoses simply want the STOLEN PH ASSETS be returned not to the country but to the family. And America can do that for them no f...ng problem. This so-called strategy does not exist and does not even remotely make an iota of sense. Forget about the passion of your idiotic and uneducated people on the subject of territory, their rage and emotions are being used and utilized by the regime that has no economic and future development plans for the country. Their plans and future are already set. When the shooting starts, all these American and western shills who call themselves leaders will abandon the country and head to their American residences to continue gaslighting and misleading the Filipinos to their deaths and misery.

I have studied in the Philippines, read their history and the history taught ABOUT CHINA, ITS SIGNIFICANCE, HISTORICAL AND CIVILIZATIONAL IMPORTANCE IS ZERO. The significant thing you'll learn about China is COMMUNISM = BAD, AND THAT CHINESE PIRATE they call "LI MA HONG" which indirectly massaged and manipulate Philippine people that the Chinese are nothing more than PIRATES = THIEF/SMUGGLE/STEAL which have a lot of RESONANCE with the SOUTH CHINA SEA dispute.

I know what am talking about the PH as I lived, studied, speak their languages (Tagalog, Bisaya/Cebuano) better than putonghua/Cantonese.

The potential to cool the SCS situation was there with the Code of conduct between China and other claimants.
Now the Philippines has to waste precious resources because they wanted to create a storm in a bottle for China.

Its just sad they never learned a thing or learned the wrong lessons by observing other previous or current western proxies like the Kurds, Georgians, Armenians, Ukrainians etc they all had to sacrifice a lot to just be thrown under the bus by the US. If they were really serieus learners they should have done Deng's strategy of "hide your strength, bide your time", calm down the South China Sea situation by signing the Code of Conduct and take your time to grown economically and industrially. So when you think its "go time" you at least have some strong cards in your hands to negotiate with China or US regarding the SCS.

Yes, the current situation triggered by fishermen deaths from weeks ago. Not years. Are you too asinine to read a calendar? If the Philippines did the same today, they'd get a similar response. But they haven't, so they don't.

Then you are just one of the same nationalist idiots, who is lucky to be born in a strong country instead of a weak one. Who cares what they think? Your fragile ego can't handle the fact that some people don't like you? What matters is the reality of who controls what. Filipinos can talk all the shit they want about Chinese control, it doesn't change reality.

But if you want to make a difference then go enlist in the PAP yourself. Or do others need to take the risks for your big words?

The more China pushes, the more philippines is going to double on its allies. - Richard Heydarian

So, China will be forced to cower in fear due to Philippines allies!!
Yeah said the mouthpieces of ASPI, really this guy only asset is he speak pretty English NOTHING MORE, he need to do a little research rather than Plagiarizing western thinktank, as @BlackWindMnt posted we had a better deal with a COC couple with an oil sharing agreement with a 60/40 in favor of the Philippine. All of this are gone as ASEAN support never materialized, Japan? they are making excuses instead of sending its much vaunted Navy. Australia? Sending in reconnaissance plane and complaining about Chinese aggressive maneuver is more a morale boosting effort rather than serious commitment. So where is America the instigator, they laughing at us, they had reclaimed their former bases and add a new one for cheap.

One lesson we need to learn is that we must rely on ourself rather than on others, we're lazy, coupled with lack of nationalism to stay the course. I know the common people had become meek as they are more concern about the daily grind of feeding its family BUT its our fault for not demanding accountability to our political elite especially our oligarch. Maybe the Marcos administration will rekindled that spirit and do an another EDSA Revolution Par Deux.
