According to GT the visit by Defense Minister Wei is related to the South China Seas issue.
China wants to engage in joint military drills with them in view of the planned deployment of French, Germany and UK warships to SCS.

Wow, very impressive work from China's diplomatic corps.

The major European countries (and the EU itself) have been saying left and right that they will send warships to the Indo-Pacific to "protect free trade/navigation" and they insisted a lot of times that this was not against China (.............).

These countries are planning to hold joint military drills with countries in the region (and surely the US).
So if China invites them for the same drills then they must accept as China is not a threat to them (their words, that they are neutral..)

So with this action, China is forcing these countries to show their true colours. If these countries make drills with the US then they must do the same with China, otherwise it means that they have chosen US side.

China wont let the European countries sit it out while working with the US to place sanctions. Lets see if their actions match their words.

The countries visited by the Defense Minister are the Hungary, Serbia, Greece and Macedonia, those at the peripherals, more or less.

It is symbolic, but if joint military drills can take place in European mainland, China is sending a big message to them. Perhaps the Russians are also involved.

With Serbia it's possible. Very pro Russia and pro China. But Serbia is pretty much the least liked European country in Europe.

Two Neocon/Neolib Regime propagandists interview Regime Admiral about his book 2034 (A Coming War with China):

It is interesting and disturbing to note that these people effectively project the Neocon/Neolib US' own bad behavior onto China, essentially believing their own misconceptions and propaganda. I have my serious doubts that these people will ever lose their 20th Century Cold War mentality and zero-sum game attitude. China is unwilling to become another US vassal state and the US is unwilling to tolerate any nation as its peer. Neither side will budge. China and the rest of the real free (sovereign) world might need to get ready for a rough ride.
I think China made some serious mistakes when it antagonize almost all of the country in it's periphery with regards to SCS. China should have been more diplomatic. Perhaps the US will find it harder to maneuver if China is more sophisticated in diplomacy with said countries as China is already the biggest of one of the biggest trading partner to those countries.

Yes, this is interesting. China should also ask some of the major EU countries to join the military drill. Let's see the outcome and how are the EU nations going to try to hide their true colors.

Not at all. The more kind and "diplomatic" China seems, the more these countries will interpret it as softness and fear of the US intervening and it will show them that currying favor with the US will bring rewards in Asia. To the contrary, China has shown that no country can rely on the US to gain an edge over China in Asia and that calling out to the US would only inflame China to push them harder. On the other hand, if a country shifts away from the US like the Philippines, China can offer them breathing room and diplomacy. Remember, if you're worried about antagonizing others, you've made yourself the defensive and weaker party. The strong only grow stronger by putting their interests first and making others afraid to antagonize them instead.

I can see China instigating drills with EU nations off the coast of New York and Virginia, if the EU wants to really maintain strict neutrality and not just become a lackey of white supremacy

Do not agree. If you had some history background, you would know these islands, rocks etc in the SCS are always Chinese territories, as shown by various ancient maps and documents. China has the right to develop and no need to ask uncle sam. When US developed Alaska they did not ask USSR!

We have over 40 years of examples of showing "face" to others. None of them, let me repeat that NONE OF THEM ever worked in the favors of China. Some of them were forced since China was in a weaker position back then but this is no longer the 1980s. The old philosophy of hiding your strength no longer works and is a detriment when so many are watching.

@Ndla2 On the contraire what the Chinese had done is to state its core interest and work things out bilaterally. Letting the other claimants know that involving the US is not the right choice and may led to war, while settling things bilaterally may be fruitful for both side. The COC will be used as a ground work while the plan JV gas deal will be the end result. Its a win win proposition.

These chess move is being played right now and the Philippines as an example is using the US as a leverage pieces, We hold a weaker hand in dealing with the Chinese, but we hold the greatest assets in the SCS which is our geographic location. Both the US and China knew that and our ambiguity is our greatest tactic.
