While UK finance minister is in CN too..
The British, who haven't been relevant since the 1960s, find it in themselves to once again stick their noses into business halfway around the globe that has absolutely nothing to do with them. Colonial habits certainly do die hard.
You are conflating several different events in a way that makes it hard to untangle what's actualy happening.
1) UK finance minister visit, .
2) US (American, not British) carrier deployment, .
3) UK (British, not American) carrier deployment, , not today.
And note the #3 deployment was announced way back in 2023. There's no connection to the finance minister unless you read way too far into a news piece which happened to be published today, about an event happening months away which was planned years ago.
