ASEAN should expel Philippines.
"The Marcos government apparently did not inform or consult fellow ASEAN members about the defense treaty beforehand, which it was supposed to do given the impact of the agreement on the region. The signing had been well anticipated, however, as President Marcos and PM Kishida had announced the plan in November.
Neither has there been any initiative from Manila to send a special envoy to brief other ASEAN leaders about the new alliance, at least as a matter of diplomatic courtesy.
True, Article 2 on the Principles of the 2007 ASEAN Charter says all members shall act according to mutually agreed principles including 'respect for the right of every Member State to lead its national existence free from external interference, subversion and coercion'.
But the Charter also mandates 'enhanced consultations on matters seriously affecting the common interest of ASEAN'. This means the Philippines’ ASEAN neighbors have the right to be informed about the purpose and context of the military pact."

If Filipinos continue to think they are too good for this continent, they can expect no sympathy or support from their own immediate backyard when an actual SCS crisis does happen
Most likely is the same hand behind the disinformation campaign during Covid in Philippine, i.e. Pentagon or any 3-letter agencies in the US.I have been noticing a lot of posts on X (formerly Twitter) from what appears to be of Vietnamese origin/names spewing anti-China polemic, rhetoric and arguments against China's claims vs the Philippines in the South China Sea. One of these posters even argued with @tphuang on the platform. Oddly enough, the same line of argument(s) and style mirror each of the users:
Notice the use of language and styles from the above posters? They, at least to me appear to come from the same person or bots to amplify a sense of sentiment or make it appear that there's deep issue/mistrust between Vietnam and China if not from their respective governments but from actual people on the ground that don't see China in a neutral way but as a bully and wanna be hegemon in Asia per Vietnam's historical perspective and interpretations.
Almost certainly they are paid posters or bots, good catch.I have been noticing a lot of posts on X (formerly Twitter) from what appears to be of Vietnamese origin/names spewing anti-China polemic, rhetoric and arguments against China's claims vs the Philippines in the South China Sea.
