From a country that has never operated combatant warship that's bigger than a light frigate. (LPDs and LSTs don't count, they're only transport platforms by nature)

I'm absolutely delighted that Manila actually thinks like this.

Do they even have the capability to stop the Fujian if it's banned from launching planes and can only use CIWS and ramming?

This is one of the many instances where I think China should demonstrate its military capabilities against a barking chihuahua like the Philippines to put them in their right place. Otherwise, those folks and country will think that China is nothing but a paper dragon

The philippines regime under bingbongm jr is not only very desperate today but is getting delusional as well.
After June 16 2024 everything has changed.
It is OK, they tried unconvincely to assure an increasing worried population.
How about says 50 year for Fujian Aircraft Carrier to mature?
By then it would have matured into a nuclear powered Fujian.

A country with a notorious low IQ will buy it. As for the MDT, it shows how afraid they are of the USA, they don't even know about the houthi rebels who are taking on the nato and USA by themselves

It is somewhat astounding to me that Marcos Jr was elected president. The reason often given is that Philippines did not improve much much, in terms of economics and poverty rates, since the People Power revolution, but is that true? How has the the economic condition for a regular Filipino improve (or deteriorated ) when compared to late 1980s? Seems like unemployment is down quite a bit since 2000
France is getting itself involved in matters that are none of their business

Filipino armchair generals still pinning their hope that MDT is the silver bullet that will slay China

What if Philippines invokes MDT and the US demurs? How likely is that? Or is the reason MDT is not invoked because the US told Marcos not to invoke it?

bbm jr has been propagating and brainwashing the Filipino that Philippines will be an Upper Income Countries that will beat both Laos and Cambodia. That is why he has approved a defence budget that is 20X of Taiwan by GDP.
Ex-President Gerald Ford security advisor has told him that US can't invoke the MDT signed in 1951 when bbm Jr father was the president as Spratly Island was not listed in the document as a territory.
So in other words, US by invoking MDT is against international law and assisting Philippines to steal someone else land.

The US can find a billion reason not to invoke the MDT, International law isn't the problem, China's dominance in the SCS is the real problem. Americans barely want to die for Jews, they won't die for white Ukrainians and they definitely won't die for Pinoys.

We know the Pinoys don't learn history, so they don't know all the defence treaties the US reneged on.

Chinese FM spokesperson Mao Ning: "We suggest that President Marcos read more books to properly understand the ins and outs of the Taiwan issue, so as to draw the right conclusions." :)

Like in the US its a UNI PARTY, the oligarch will select who to run, without them who will finance their election campaign? out of all past president only Duterte refuse campaign fund from them and you can see it as he is able to enact policy that benefit the common TAO.

So you see this guy Jay Tarriela is making noise and trying to gain attention, who is his audience? He is a political soldiers put there by some influential people, to able to move the social ladder he need the Oligarch blessing, that's how things being run here, it's a farce democracy, a banana republic, which we failed to export to China because of low QC....lol

Mar 30, 2022 — President Rodrigo Duterte has no regrets refusing money from some oligarchs during the 2016 presidential elections.

Nothing changes except the oligarch cronies, from Marcos to Aquino and back again and they change color to like a butterfly....lol, BUT this time there is a truce cause there is a common enemy, which is Duterte. The SCS policy is aimed at him and the US piggybank on their disaffection to form an alliances cause their goals had converged. You have to understand that since the birth of the republic the oligarchs are an extension of the US and an enforcer of their policy.

The Philippine maybe dumb BUT they're not stupid, they know their limits, my analysis on the matter, they're asking the US to arm them for free asap after agreeing to their demand. This is a pressure on the US cause they felt the American are backtracking after getting what they want from us and the Japanese felt the same, both of them are being spank by the Chinese right now and it hurt badly....lol

The common theme we found among all of these leaders they failed in their History and Geography classes, the reason why both Marcos siblings, Bong Bong and Aimee failed to graduate from universities.
