Show the PH some gesture of goodwill and they will stab you in the back

Reading closely, they don’t actually deny the facts of what China claimed.

Their press statement is:
“The claim made by the People’s Republic of China that they have permitted a medical evacuation for a sick navy personnel, in order to present themselves as humanitarian while asserting their authority to allow such operation to be carried out in the Philippines’ Exclusive Economic Zone, is ridiculous.”

“This statement further confirms their illegal deployment of vessels within our EEZ and highlights their government’s view that the preservation of human life and welfare requires approval,”

“Evidently, the deployment of numerous boats to delay the medical evacuation for hours just shows that they have a low regard for a humanitarian mission,”

Yeah it's calling China unhumanitarian. Listen these people deserve little to no respect. They either whine or boast it's the only two things they do. Gloat how great they were before across SE Asia and then Whine about it now, Gloat about being supported internationally (yeah just about the 5 eyes) and then whine about having their ass whooped later and not having their international" allies show up.

Look at the SEA attitude towards China. How can PH stand against them when ASEAN loves China? Even in PH itself 34% have a favourable view.
If you believed those numbers, as the samples are mostly taken in Metro Manila and we don't know how the survey were conduct? I have face a lot of them and their questionnaire are taken from kindergarten class, it's very laughable....lol Manila is not the Philippine and I guarantee you there are a lot of dissenting voices from EDCA but its not their number one concern as their focus is how to feed their family and survived.

Unfortunately Jai Hind-ism is the side effect of social media. People are fairly malleable to internet rage bait, especially from supposedly "trusted" sources, the old boomers who consume only local sources are more likely to be in information bubbles, i.e outside of metro Manila which is a lot more cosmopolitan.

In the same study it did show that the youth have a markedly more positive view of the Chinese and people's political affiliations generally don't change once they become an adult, so capturing this demographic while they're still in their rebel phase seems to be working out for China.

What do you sense is the degree of positive perception of China in the Philippines? Would it be higher or lower than the Pew survey?

People may say a lot of stupid things but they don't mean it, a perfect example is the lady I mentioned from my previous post when we argue about the Chinese activity in the SCS. She had join me in a FAM TOUR in Jiuzhaigou and I heard her say positive thing about China, she is very impress about Chengdu, clean, modern, perfect weather (even though on my last day it rain a lot) and good food. When she return she will definitely sing a different tune cause she need to sell the tour package....lol

That's the thing bro, you need more interaction to counter those nasty propaganda, China had implemented a visa free policy with a lot of countries. Here they simplify the process allowing GROUP VISA so that ordinary Filipinos can travel and see the real China, coupled with cheap tour package sponsored and subsidies by the Chinese government to promote their tourism. (you never believed the prices $299 4d/3n Macau Zhuhai package, $288 4d/3n Chongqing package, the one I joined $488 6d5n Chengdu Jiuzhaigou package) .

You have to be impress by the CPC strategy, instead of countering, reacting and adopting the Collective West propaganda method and spending huge amount of money with Zero result (the Chinese sucks in conveying their views in the media). They do it subtly and at the same process help boost their economy and their tourism sector, that's how you fight the Western propaganda by asymmetrical warfare.

Agreed. Plus, in my lived experience being in the PHILIPPINES for over a decade, there's a famous Filipino colloquial word called: Sip Sip culture which is not dissimilar to the Jai Hind proficiency in brownosing.
