Correct me if I am wrong, ... ...
My personal understanding after watching that video ... ...
1): Starting from 2012, in the annual National Golden Helmet competition,
PLAAF introduce a Golden Helmet
< Free--style > combat
with no altitude and range restrictions.
2): Any plane class and qualified pilots can participate on this
< Free--style > combat competition.
Meaning the plane is not limited to the same class.
3):
Watch Minute = 00:43
J-11BS ( specifically s/n 10322 ) and other J-11B plane (
I am not certain S or not ) won the
< Free--style > combat competition 3 years running.
J-11B ( dual or single seat ) has won in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
I assume in 2013 and 2014 Free--style mixed class competition,
J-10B may also participated, and lost to J-11B.
The Pilot Yang did explained that J-11B has superior and
wider flying speed range.
It was impossible for J-10 to achieve this speed range.

4): Before 2012, in previous mixed class Dog Fighting competition
( regional, not National competition ) the J-10A always won handily vs. J-11A.
J-10A winning ratio was quite lopsided.
J-10A * mixed class Dog Fighting * Winning ratio sometime
as high as 13 Win / 1 Lost.
This J-10A Dog Fighting superiority below was widely known,
and leading many PLA fanboys to look down on J-11A performance.
After 2011, J-10 ( maybe both A & B ) can not touch ShenYang J-11B
in regional and National Free--Style Dog Fighting mixed class competitions.
That is why there are so many High Definition pictures of
J-11BS ( s/n 10322 ) on Chinese internet.
