Chinese did request Tu22M blackjack.

Russians didn't sell.

Yes, in the 1996. Then Russia clear it in 2005 but Chinese by then was not interested anymore.. Virtually, beside S-400, non of the Russian hardware excited China.

Hehe... Finally!

I suspect the Chinese authorities have on purpose waited for so many days before coming out with a loud and clear "No"!

What's the purpose?

You know the bigger the bubble is, the more visible it gets, the more YYing it attracts, and the louder and more dramatic it is when pricked!

Since my first language is spanish i can read the article perfectly without any translator, the original spanish report, does not have a meaning that reflects China was never interested on Su-35s, the article reads, let us see the article:

DefensaChina desmiente informaciones sobre posible compra de 48 cazas rusas Su-35
the title can be read, China denies reports about the possile purchase of Su-35.

This could be read as China was never interested on the jet at first glance.

However later it says

this can be read as the Chinese defence ministry has denied this friday that Beijin and Moscow have reached an agreement about the purchase of Su-35 with Russia, as previuosly was reported by the Russian media
The article does not imply China did not ask Russia about Su-35, it simply says China and Russia have not reached an agreement

This can be read The Jounal Kommersant claimed last tuesday citing a Russian military source that both countries were near to sign contract for 48 Su-35s worthed 4 billion USD dollars.

According to the Chinese ministry, this information has no real basis in fact.

From my personal opinion kommersant either overeacted and reported a rumour or indeed China has asked information about Su-35, and the Russians were over excited about the possible purchase and some talks were held, but they did not go beyond that.

this is the original Kommersant report where it was reported China and Russia were near to sign a contract for 48 Su-35

China's Defence Dept has officially dismissed the fake new of Su-35 Purchase in a written staement to Rusia NEws Agency:

Well, it took that many days for some Russian reporters to think of asking China.
If China were to respond to every Russian tabloid reports about Chinese 'interest' in their stuffs, they would have no time to do anything else.
BTW, what happened to the forum ? Some Russians launched an attack out of frustration ? :)

Big chicken, please don't further humiliate yourself. Chinese always out of courteous and manner tell Russia they think they are interested. If India offer their LCA to China, china will also out of respect tell them they are interested. But end up, just take look and purposely excite the counter part and not outright to reject them.

The problem is I believe most of the former here has basic comment sense. They can different between what is moron post and what is post relevant post and not just randomly pick any post which serves their agenda and post it without going through their bigger brain and waste everybody times.

Easy there, my friend, even if this turns out to be true it's not the end of the world. Purchasing foreign hardware has never stopped domestic R&D effort. For example, even with HQ9 in service and Y20 on the horizon I still support purchasing S400 and IL76, simply because China needs the capability and its domestic industries lack the scale to satisfy that demand.

It appears that you've completely messed up your logic.

Wrong to start with. You'll need a darn good translator for this (see that of Siegecrossbow), and beyond.

Since when the Ministry of Defence of China issued a statement in Spanish?

In your logic, your Spanish(Spain) / or South American Ministry of Defence is used to issue statments in Chinese? - I understand your sincerity, but it might take a while for Chinese is one of the hardest languages to learn ;)

The Spanish version you read is literally 3rd hand materials that could be anything especially when being translated by a Russian commercial newspaper that, as we all know by 1st and 2rd hand experiences, is not the most accurate even on its "1st hand" contents, is that correct?

the title can be read, China denies reports about the possile purchase of Su-35.

This could be read as China was never interested on the jet at first glance.

Correct. It could be rightly so. It can be interpreted in either way. And?

I happen to know 1 or 2 on Spanish. Summer camps always pay off you know...

Correct.

Any people would be interested in the best fighter in operation in Russia, the US included if given a chance, just to know Russia's capabilities for instance. Why not China? Your point is?

However, "interested" is miles aways from "interested to purchase", and from there "Interested to purchase in quantities", which in turn from "a step away from signing a contract that worths $4b". -- I think the logic is universal either in Spanish or in Arabian, no?

And it did not end there, when was the last time when a potential customer got humiliated and rubbished by a seller before the purchase? You local car dealers do that to you or what?

The Russian report which started all these was technically a rumor + a lengthy smear piece based on that rumor filled with blunders by a clueless reporter and a clueless editor!

1. First it claimed "according to Russian experts, J-10 is a copy of Su-27..." in its first English version.

2. Then it soon changed that blunder so that you can't see it in your first Spanish version.

3. Yet still in your current Spanish version, you can see " ... (algo como)J-11 es una copia de Su-30..." ( J-11 is a copy of Su-30) . Can you deny that? Since when J-11 has anything to do with Su-30 even for a military amatuer? The fact you've deliberately omitted that part of the Spanish version tells your motivation here.

Yes, I've read all 3 versions since day 1.

"esta información “carece de fundamento real", huh?

-- this Spanish translation is utterly rubbish!

The original Chinese version, if you kindly allow me to call it so instead of Spanish version being the origenal as you refer to, is " has no factual basis", like ANY statement issued by a State Ministry using diplomatic language. You'll notice the same pattern of language China uses in pretty much all issues that she completely disgree with and utterly refutes such as the border issue with India, that of South China Sea, etc. etc. It's all "it has no factual basis". It's equivalent to say "what you're saying is a lie".

“carece de fundamento real" in Spanish, a 3rd-hand translation by the Russian paper, means more in a sense of "lacking the real basis". It's "lacking Vs. NO" and "real Vs, Factual", very different terms, aren't they?
