Chengdu next gen combat aircraft (?J-36) thread

how the earth did China manage to get the Jump on the DARPA?

to fly something like this requires a extremely high end software and electronics

no tail flat and the shape well what can we say

China has just leap frogged the everyone in aviation history to be the first to fly a 6th generation aircraft

the size is a give away, this aircraft is meant to fly far and wide and delivery either nuclear or non nuclear warheads

I bet it can reach Guam and return back to mainland China

China has just levelled the playing field here

Kudos to China
China is a country with growing industrial and technological capabilities. While America is a country with decreasing industrial and technological capabilities. This is because China's economy is driven by investment and production while the US economy is driven by consumption and speculation.

And this won't be a Sputnik moment for the Americans because the US at this moment simply don't have the financial, industrial and human resources to respond.

and there is one more point

Western nations have this inherit ignorance where they seem to think because they built the "modern world" no one can teach them anything or be better than them and they are simply too good to learn from anyone else especially Asians

they have this Gods Chosen mentality where anything done by Non-western nations are somehow not on par or substandard to their production

this inherit racism and self appointed high morals always leads to their downfall and even accelerates their downfall

looking at the comments on Social Media and this ignorance becomes apparent until one day its too late

I just read someone saying "first build a 5th generation before you build a 6th generation"

or its "Made in China"

Roman Empire had this mentality and they latest less than 500 years a very sort term for a Empire

Western nations only managed 75 years since WW2 and the decline has already started

I dont think this will be a wake up call for USA, they are simply too ignorant and bigoted to take it seriously and even if they do Chinese resources and manpower are way to great with state control driving projects to completion very fast

yes every big ticket items from submarine to b21 is costing them a hell alot of money. With a trillion budget defense they can only procure a small number of them each year.

Most defense workers demand 6 figure income and also expensive education is not helping.

Theory on the type of TVC used on J-36. Fairly unconventional if true.

Another possible thrust vectoring method - airstream around the engine nozzle affects the jetstream's direction.

Abstract
The Bypass Dual Throat Nozzle (BDTN) is a novel fluidic Thrust Vectoring (TV) nozzle, it switches to TV state by opening the valve in the bypass. To greatly manipulate the BDTN, the dynamic characteristics in the TV starting process should be analyzed. This paper conducts numerical simulations to grasp the variation processes of performances and the flow field evolution of BDTN and Dual Throat Nozzle (DTN). The dynamic responses of TV starting in typical DTN models are investigated at first. Then, the TV starting processes of BDTN in different Nozzle Pressure Ratio (NPR) conditions are simulated, and the valve opening durations (T) are also considered. Before the expected TV direction is achieved in the DTN, the jet is deflected to the opposite direction at the beginning of the dynamic process, which is called the reverse TV phenomenon. However, this phenomenon disappears in the BDTN. The larger injection width of DTN intensifies unsteady oscillations, and the reverse TV phenomenon is strengthened. In the BDTN, T determines the delay degree of performance variations compared to the static results, which is called hysteresis effect. At NPR = 10, the hysteresis affects the final stable performance of BDTN. This study analyses the dynamic characteristics in DTN and BDTN, laying a foundation for further design of nozzles and control strategies.

They have a new funding program, where vassals are squeezed to pay 100s of billions of dollars in exchange for renting second hand equipment and buy a small # of units. The funding program may soon be open to more members. Its called AUKUS. Japan seems like the next perfect fit.
