I think it'd be better if we can have a separate thread that is dedicated to discussions on China's overall 6th-generation air combat system, since I believe that doing discussions in any one of the individual platform threads cannot do the entire air combat system enough justice.

@Blitzo @Deino @siegecrossbow what do you guys think?

I’m seriously contemplating starting a thread that defends canards and how it is no worse contributor to RCS than CARET intakes and see if it gets quoted by other defense forums.

Maybe open a new thread to discuss the world's future 6th gen combat vision, not limited to any countries?

That's kinda rather broad... and this is a China-focused forum as well.

I'd think that it's better to keep the 6th-gen air combat systems of respective countries seperate as it is, and touch on them together in the Strategic threads when needed.

I have a question for you guys, how many test flights do you think we can see before it moves to Yanliang and away from public view? Can we use J-20 as refrence?

Or maybe it's already flying at Yanliang, I mean they never flew the other tailless prototype seen in sat photo over Chengdu after all.

About that... It seems Boeing took slight with your comment and responded within 48 hours.

For this thread itself, its still early days but can we talk about the differing PLAAF vs USAF focuses for their main next-gen fighter platform? Now that we know the rough shape of the F-47, we can begin to infer its emphasised roles/characteristics and how they contrast with the J-36's focuses. Not sure if that comparison should be left to the F-47 thread or this one though.

I don't think this topic is useful considering we know next to nothing about F-47 and little about J-36 so it'll just be speculation x speculation. If it has to be done, it shouldn't be in this thread and maybe the "world armed forces" thread category if some sort doctrinal comparison has to be done

Is it true that China has better subsystems than the US? I am talking about GaN AESA, spoofing and jamming on planes.

significantly more individual transmit/receive on their AESA than the US counterpart?

Nobody knows the answer to this question. Some very privileged people know either one or the other, but nobody knows both. And nobody will, not unless and until they are used in anger.
