A Sino-US alliance, is that feasible?

I feel very strange that people outside China still think mainland Chinese like ROC regime, they can come back if CCP collapses, why?

You look at mainland China, people buy 10 million vehicles each year, move into new apartment by 10s of millions each year, make a lot of money from stock market each year, which is not opened to foreigners or people from Taiwan.

Why do they want ROC coming back? The regime in Taiwan does badly in economy, only 1/3 of mainland growth, while CCP drives it at the full speed.

The money works, not ideology anymore in China.

There is no "allies" today, it doesn't exist.

Before a "full-scale war" achieves anything, you'wll see nuclear missles hovering all over the places, kind of suicid for anybody.

As I said CCP government today is purly an interest driven regime, just like past Japan, German or Italy or Britain or France, that governs a purly capitalism system. History shows that such kind of regime can't be overthrown by any peaceful ways, and a "full-scale war" is impossible.

ROC regime is not accepted by majority mainland Chinese, esp elite class, too much interest conflict.

I would beg to differ on the Allies. It can include NATO, the direct US-UK Alliance, ANZAC, and such. I also don't believe that full-scale war will be suicide. If the Allies or the United States were to topple the CCP's government in China, they would replace it with something. Seeing as how the ROC already exists, once controlled the mainland and still officially claims it, and it is a good government in form and is a US-ally, it would be logical for the US to have them take over than make a new government from scratch and try to dissolve the ROC government, or to keep them seperate, despite the CCP being eliminated.

Well, the US would not just go to war with the PRC just for kicks. It would likely be done due to assaults on US allies and other compromises of American interests for which the use of force is acceptable. Under such conditions, the UK would be a likely ally, and ANZAC would be a probable one, especially if there are threats against them. The ROC, ROK, and Japan would also be potential allies, and moves against them would be a likely initiator for hostilities. To what extent the rest of NATO will get involved is really the main variable here. It also depends upon what moves the PRC makes in other regions, directly or through proxies, and what moves its military allies, actual, or from the current standpoint, potential, do as well in the same time frame. Different moves could result in greater reaction from more of the Allies and other countries. It all depends upon the circumstances.

You need to get a little touch with the reality of this world.

I am amused by your thought while at the same time American general is offering to help China in building its aircraft carries, even not whole-heartly.

Source? I have not heard a single thing about that, and many senior officers have a hostile view towards China. During training where we were required to identify ships from potential hostile countries, the silhouettes included PLAN warships. Doctrine includes serious plans for fighting the PLAN. The US will never ally itself with China. Heck, even the Republican Presidential candidates are viewing China as more and more of a problem to be dealt with, foremost among them Rep. Hunter. The US Congress is more concerned about the matter, and the DoD is required to issue a defense report on China highlighting potential threats, as well as Chinese deficiencies which can be used to America's advantage. We trade alot, but there are even issues there, and we are not on the friendliest terms with the PRC as it stands now.

Sorry to tell you but that story is true. Too lazy right now to go linking the article. It's all over other sites. I doubt the extent of cooperation and I agree the the US Congress will stop it before it starts.

To what extent his words are actually backed by the US government is what is in question now. I seriously doubt that the US government would be willing to provide any meaningful help if any in this regards, especially with the current Congress. If the Republicans make gains and start taking back seats next election, this would likely be assured. US patience with China on many issues is starting to wear thin, to include military, foreign policy, and trade issues.

Well if USA doesn't want to talk to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for cooperation, you can always talk to the PLA, PLAN, PLAAF and 2nd Artillery, if you know what I mean. :D
