Just when they complain about the lack of real snow in Beijing.
Oh CNN... Beijing's got real snowfall now. Bummer... So are you gonna report this as God's work, or the work of some CCP weather machine?
Just when they complain about the lack of real snow in Beijing.
Well in my opinion the skiing events should have been in Tibet . Then downhill skiing race would have been more exciting. Something like the legendary strief.
True stop smearing nathan . Inspite of being rich he has achieved much that the people here in this forum have no way of reaching. He truly is talented so we can forgive him for whatever he says off the ice rink.Evidence?
Yea but the athelete are trained for such conditions. They purposely train in oxygen deficient environment. At more than 4,000m (13,000ft) above sea level, each breath contains around a third less oxygen than the same breath far below.
Snowing pretty bad today too. They postponed a few events. Shalom is interrupted by heavy snow conditions.. Maybe they will criticize china again for not having better weather. It was actually snowing yesterday during the events.
Yes, but the support team around the athletes may not be that fit. Not to mention, the spectators who could be coming. It'll certainly help to keep the idiot journalists out.Yea but the athelete are trained for such conditions. They purposely train in oxygen deficient environment.
There was a reporter who asked Chen about the peng shuai situation. Which was ridiculous as I doubt Chinese reporters asked Chloe Kim about US gymnastics sex abuse scandal. This is fucking disgusting. These retarded loyalty tests are only going to get worse.
There is a 15 day trek in the Himalayas which just requires basic fitness and health. Almost all the support staff will be that fit. Spectator revenue is nothing compared to tv and internet revenue . And do you know how popular lhasa is . The natural slopes in the mountains are unrivalled which altay does not match. I don't know why the altitude is punishing. The European train high up in the Alps. Some Americans train in Alaska. The start is probably 1 km above the finish line. Just the thought of skiing in the Himalayas is exciting.Yes, but the support team around the athletes may not be that fit. Not to mention, the spectators who could be coming. It'll certainly help to keep the idiot journalists out.
Altay, Xinjiang was touted as a good alternative to Beijing for skiing. There are excellent skiing resorts there. And the altitude is not as punishing. That could be a good alternative.
Any athelete has the right to ignore questions. In the YouTube channel I don't think you will find the recording of such questions. They edit the interview to make it short. There was a reporter who asked Chen about the peng shuai situation. Which was ridiculous as I doubt Chinese reporters asked Chloe Kim about US gymnastics sex abuse scandal.
Anyway he said he will have some replies to these question when he get home. I hope he has the pr skills of Gu, as he could get into political minefield. From previous experience he seem to be abit tonedeaf.
For me I dun feel much about Nathan representing US and not China. He clearly isn't pro China and likely dun feel deeply about the country and Chinese culture.I think Nathan Chen is good representation for Chinese people as it shows we can compete and win in the sport.
However, from a geopolitical perspective it doesn't benefit China as the gold medal went to the US.
Personally, he put up a superb performance. But I gotta admit, I do wish he was playing for team China like Eileen.
It is what it is..
