Look how strange this image is, I'm talking about it. Shadows in two different directions in the same area of the red circle.

It even looks like they deleted the photo. Here it is.

Not only that. The shadow of the ship below the red circle clearly shows that this image was edited. Not only is the body of water different, but the shadows of the ship with the shadow of the cranes show that they are images from different times - possibly also days.

Everything is different in the picture.

Shadow on the buildings.
Shadow on the ship.
Shadow on the cranes.

And another thing, someone with experience in viewing images should see that this is a completely edited image. The blue circle shows a different contrast from a blue installation, there was a cut perfectly in line with the rest of the area marked in blue that has a perfect line that can only have been edited.

sub-3.jpg

There are smaller river cranes to the left side of the image (near the Hangor sub) that are casting from left to right, just like the large red crane in question.

The two small blue structures near the top left of the image, are also casting from left-to-right

However, the large assembly halls are casting from bottom to the top.

As was mentioned before, it seems that the large image has been stitched together or even PSed....

They've basically overlapped part of the image they had taken onto an older image as a background -- that isn't necessarily a reason for controversy.

It looks like the shadow of the crane itself.
That was exactly my thought. I at first mistook the "submarine" for the shadow of the big red crane, but now it seems after considering how tall the shadow ought to be, that that is in fact the shadow of the crane.
It's also unlikely that the submarine is at such an angle that its body appears so extraordinary tapered.

Analysing crane shadow is unreliable, even besides the point that the image is stitched together from multiple exposures you're comparing shadows of other objects that point directly up with crane arms that famously can aim in any direction and at a range of elevation when mounted on a slewing platform. Their orientation and elevation will result in all sorts of different shadows that point in all sorts of directions, eg:

US DoD is staffed by people who deliberately put the lives of millions of citizens of an US ally in danger just to discredit Chinese vaccines. I find it bizarre anyone would give any credibility to what a DoD official says about China unless there are legal or career consequences for them lying.

Hi,
sometime back in near past I have come across some random Indian
YouTube defence channel who were narrating this story in opposite
direction towards one of the PN Hangoor been sunk
but this game is on another level pointing towards Chinese Submarine
thank you

The depth of the Yangtze River in that area cannot float an SSN. And if China could clean up a sunken SSN in under a day then USN have other things to worry about.

Yeah. The depth is only about 5-6 meters for from Wuhan to Wuhu

The submarine's conning tower at least would still be visible, unless somehow it tipped. Like even Indian Sindhurakshak which was also sunk pierside, the conning tower are still on surface, while the depth of Mumbai harbor is 15 m.
